As Christians, I don't think one should be dating or looking to date if you are separated, should one wait until they are divorced. Firstly, I believe the marriage should be worked on at all cost, which I assume that would be the case, however, dating should be a no no, as in the eyes of God you are still married.

Just a thought... as I see a few Christians whos status says separated. :)

STRICTLY by the biblical customs, anyone married should NEVER date,, being that they should NEVER REMARRY

so, technically speaking, if we are to follow to the letter what is in the bible,, the first marriage would be the only and last relationship we ever have,

however, I think divorce in general is a 'no no' yet still allowed

divorce papers are something the bible says should happen rather than has to happen

I am not sold completely on religious marriage being the same as legal marriage, so I tend to believe when a commitment is done,, its done

whatever legal papers might say,, to carry on with life is nothing amoral(to me)

there are many situations which may leave people ending a marriage but not going through the lengthy, potentially expensive 'legal' process

its just my opinion though, I think Christianity isn't something that requires government approval, and that marriage and divorce should not require it either,,,,
