Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan dies at Dallas hospital DALLAS — The first person to be diagnosed with Ebola in the United States died early Wednesday, officials with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital announced. "It is with profound sadness and heartfelt disappointment that we must inform you of the death of Thomas Eric Duncan this morning at 7:51 a.m.," the hospital said in a written statement. "Mr. Duncan succumbed to an insidious disease, Ebola." may he rest in peace ... maybe this has to be diagnosed quickly for medicines to work ... from what I heard they are trying to save Africa where it started ..so no more spread anywhere else... IDK...

On the one hand, he may have been a OK person who loved his family and friends and was otherwise a good citizen. However, he lied on his entry forms and thereby endangered an estimated 100 persons, maybe more. He didn't know how many people he could have infected but he knew of the problem and the nature of spreading the infection which could spread death. I therefore must admit my sympathy for him is reduced.

However, he lied on his entry forms and thereby endangered an estimated 100 persons, maybe more. He didn't know how many people he could have infected but he knew of the problem and the nature of spreading the infection which could spread death. I therefore must admit my sympathy for him is reduced. No one likes to speak negatively about the dead, but I agree with you Joe...The article is an eye opener for anyone interested in the timeline of events leading up to his death...Speaks volumes about Duncan, flight security and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital ...

His family and loved ones however, I feel for them.
