Not sure where to stick this, not your average dating site material, lol, but in a deeper way, it actually is ..

I just spent some time feeling. Literally .. with my hands. Feeling how things make me feel. Objects, whilst cooking, the Brussels, the coffee pot, the towel, the cleaning cloth etc..
And wow .. We're always so busy, thinking, planning, Mingling, working etc. that mostly we don't live in the moment, so much not, that we aren't even aware of the feel of all those objects we touch and handle a gazillion times a day.

So I just stood there, feeling the tea towel, a satin like curtain (yuk, cold, cheap, eeww.. hate those curtains anyway, lol) the glass coffee pot (cold, but nice, smooth), the hand rail.. Never realized I really don't like the feel of the hand rail? Too rough, makes my hands tingle in an unpleasant way. The damp cloth, ewww.. reminds me of getting a wet towel on my skin after a day at the beach. I just didn't know I don't like the feel of a damp cloth, yet I use one so often.

Then I touched my body, not sexually, just let my hands go over my body, gently .. wow.. I felt so incredibly sensual. Totally in touch with the moment, not in my head. Aware, feeling, here..

Because I was truly in the moment, I suddenly enjoyed sounds more as well.. and the look of things. As if I was looking at things for the first time. I found myself picking up things, to look at them, feel them. I have had these things for years, never really see them anymore. They're just there.

If you feel rushed, stressed, try it! I was just curious, but what a wonderful experience and it slows you right down again, into the moment, into your body.

I'm working on a particular workshop that I have wanted to do for years, but never could get my head around. It's quickly coming together of late, and this feeling experience is definitely going to be part of it!

I want to say its like u being in the moment ... with no distraction ...

to thine own self be true, for indeed, the destiny of each be unique, as unique as the face on each body, so following the advice others got from their own brain about their own destiny, thinking it apply to one's own journey and destiny, make the path to self happy take soooooooo much longer.

Yes, it's beautiful! And I've been busy with this kind of thing for years .. personal development & growth, occasionally doing workshops (as in me being the workshop leader) on it as well.
But since about a month, a month and a half, it's as if I'm accelerating .. getting to a deeper tier that I knew was there, but couldn't fully access before.

I've been trying to get clear what it is I want for such a long time now, focusing on a nice job etc. but my passion is doing workshops. Guiding others with what I've learnt, with my wisdom. Doing workshops is the one thing that makes me happy. And because that doesn't really bring (enough) bread on the table, I strayed .. Also because ppl have asked me to do other workshops, for instance sound-healing. And because I'm bluddy good at that, they keep asking me, but for me it's not it, not just that. It's just one of the things I do.
But I now feel ready to pursue what makes me happy, regardless. And the funny thing is, ppl are already asking me for advice on the subject material ..

There is another thread here in "General Discussion"....."A Woman's Body". I have done the blind fold thing before with someone I trusted. (Although YES a sexual thrill) it was one of the sensual an commucative interchanges to sense someone's being, beyond the visual.

In surfing one of my favorite mentors had me wax my board with eyes closed, imagine where my feet would be, and feel the bumps on the fiberglass. We also paddled out "blind" just feeling the water and listened. i progressed SO much that summer!

Wonderful, and yes, you'd get so much more in touch with the board, the water, elements .. in a way kind of silly we don't just do that ourselves, without a mentor.. we're all so visually and mentally trained, we simply forget I suppose

:) Yeah, although I don't call myself pagan anymore ... Sometimes call myself a lightworker, energyworker, but whatever word you use, it all sounds vague .. And ppl get all these weird ideas in their head, as if your a fruitcake, while in actual fact I'm very grounded, down to earth.

So I prefer to call it personal growth & development, coaching etc., and doing that the intuitive, feminine way. Which is in a way 'pagan', it just sounds more 2014

I'm an extremely tactile learner and I agree that there is a great catharsis to be found in understanding texture and touch... the feeling of something.

I climb trees and skateboard, both of which require extremely tactile thinking... In a way I have to be connected to my board, to the next branch, to understand the give and take of the various things that I touch and feel to avoid... horrible, horrible pain.

I'm with you on this one.
