smiles... for in all cases, the embracing of any jab, with true heart and soul, embracing all words as true to ridiculously so with true compassion, will automatically reflect the most negative visibility upon the sad depravity of some sad lower insecure intellects, those who feel that to rise them self higher in the eye's of others, lowering others be the good way. smiles. yes I take a dim view of that sort also. how are you Ben? nice to see you are also having such a compelling Saturday evening your words... they be... the words of one more in tune, more in the "now"... nice to "know" some do sea beyond the sensitive ego's of mortals, that do weaken the strong, and destroy the weak.

just a thought...it's not really the 'high road' if you then call attention to it. well IDK if anyone would call attention to it. I was thinking the high road would not....are we saying the same thing? we are. they do. it's been done many times on these very boards. i got lambasted once for pointing it out. hahaha oh I see...you were being honest again, were you... it's a curse

I bite back, but I think I am not caustic or sharp enough with my retort. But I'm getting there and learning that from here when I see how regular Minglers cover each others backs. When a foul mouth wise guy appears and slings insults.... we all come up with our own battle gear, be it pitch and fork, or the blazing guns! So great to see such comradeship! Anyway, there is always the 'report post' button there that can come in handy. I see our mods have been at it.....the foul one got nipped!

I tend to agree with all these posts...BUT.....Here, on the boards, when "little" insults are ongoing, veiled, or delivered in "pack" mode, I will stand up to them the second I figure out a clever way to do it without breaking forum rules... . so you are a "gotchur back kinda gal?" I think I am as well. I tend to root for the person being harmed. Fortunately I really don;t see that much here on boards. I tend to stand up for those being abused in one form or another. It has cost me so-called friendships, but so be it! Sometimes we stick up for people who do not want us to stand up for them. It happens; there are times when those whom we considered our best friends will turn against us without warning; however, what is good to remember is that we never need to get even or return evil for evil on the boards. We can simply choose to ignore and report bad behavior and show ourselves someone who chooses not to publicly show animosity, or jealousy, or any other type of rude behavior to others. Some will never do this, because they have no type of self control! Realize who these are and do not ascent to that type of behavior , but be discreet, gracious and show yourself a better person, socially, than they are! Don't fall in with the crowd who is constantly lavishing loving words to some but who are jealous or maliciously maligning others. This is just my opinion and my code of ethics! well your opinion sounds like well thought out good advice. we can't control what others will do, but we can control our responses to it! Indeed !

It depends on the situation and the person. I'm not naive, but have pretty thick skin. I'm not insulted by little digs. Usually can see the humor, if it is said in fun. If it comes from someone I know well, and vice versa, I ask myself if it was an insult or actually some good advice. A tune up...so to speak. If it's someone I barely know, it's like water off a duck's back. If it is someone just being an arse, I find some fresh dog poop, and put it under the seat of their ride.

I work as a supervisor for a security firm at a ocean front resort and when people do it to me I just ignore it and move on.If you let it get to you it will drive you crazy.Get mad they win.

Oh God now I feel guilty tho .... I remember as a kid in college the hard times we gave the security guards ..... with our silliness. and you're right as I recall they took it in stride...even when we threw snowballs at them from the roof (of course I am waaay more mature than that now)

I see who has my back. belittling mind games.....people who make assumptions w/out knwing the truth or really anything about you (tongue in cheek jesting among friends is usually something else pretty normal - not what I mean here) yes I also value those who have my back and try to return in kind :)
