By being open to possibilities...
To know thyself enough to have the courage to take that leap.
To have an understand of who will be the one moving if the person you fall for is half a world way.
To be real from the beginning to the end.
To be sure to know how to read a B.S meter really really well..

The same way as you would with someone in the same city, by first learning all about them, but by using emails, Skype calls, texts, and all other means available to you both. The next step is meeting each other, which I think you would need to do as often as possible if you both decide you want to make it work, and will require one of you relocating sometime in the future. A long distance relationship is certainly not an easy option in my opinion, but they can work, it all depends on the two people involved and if they want it to work.

Welcome to Mingle2 and good luck in your search.

How lucky is Pancho
To have a sweet and pretty woman like you.

But he is a good egg too so you are both lucky and blessed.

I don't know why but your statement kinda touched me.

Yea it is nice when you see the good ones find someone good. Keeps hope alive. I would rather wait for the good one than spend miserable years with and "ok" one.

Oh now you have me curious; you remember the name? Might put it on my Netflix list. Know the summer heat is going to be rolling in before long and want a few choice picks.

so-so movie...it has it's moments...probably speaks true of a lot of issues on LDR's..

Why worry about it?

Your profile says you live in los angeles ca.

A quick search for the population shows there are over 18 million people living in the "greater los angeles" area.

Don't love someone far away.

There's millions of people around you.

Date locally.

Then you never have to worry about this question.

When you find out they have lied to you give them what they deserve; being blocked and or also reported.

Don't kid yourself it happens to women all the time too.

Wow a twist and turn of the thread....
First of all I don't believe it is "most" I believe some "people" lie.. that I believe...
So if that has happened then report them..
Distance depends what you decide is local

Me living in Alaska when I was dating everything in my state was considered local and since my state covers over a third of the United States... Local is rendered subjective.

Long distance relationship with someone too good to be true. What a great way to be scammed. Sorry if that sounds negative. Been there and done that

I think a local relationship too good to be true can be a scam also..
Distance if you are smart is as real as the girl next door..

I am in a LDR and neither one of us feel scammed.

Don't listen to Ciretom. If you, the OP want to date locally or from another State, or internationally, then it's up to you. Now here's some advice: communication is key. Emailing, phoning, video chatting. Also, if you do go the LDR route, make sure you discuss moving early on, one or the other will have to make that move to make it close distance. If neither of you are willing to move, then it's better to find out early on.
