It's okay to disagree with the thoughts or opinions expressed by other people. That doesn't give you the right to deny any sense they might make.
I respect everyone's opinion even if I don't agree. I would only ask for the same.
We are not here to fight our battles, but to whisper from our heart.

When un public forum it is not unusual to offer an opinion or to point out how someone else's arguement. is weak or flawed. This is what debating an issue is
problems come when someone's jimmies get rustled or get bee in bonnet and take it personal and insults and attacks occur.

people don't much like when their bloviated opinion or faux fact is proven wrong.
they weren't actually interested in the truth, just being seen as 'smart', or 'right'.

personally, i prefer accuracy, even if i learn that my previously held views are shown to be wrong.

i think it is also worthy of note that facts and accuracies are not necessarily singularities, and can exist harmoniously, and in conjunction with other facts and opinions.

Hmmmm..guess I am just not built that way. Always encouraged my kids to have a point of view on things and it did not necessarily have to echo or coincide with my own . I was more interested in line and logic of their arguement and whether they could back it with facts. I like to see healthy debate. Sometimes as humans we tend to get a bit narrow minded..see things from only our own point view. ..think its good sometimes to take look at it from another perspective
