ABC News just reported that Francisco "found the gun on a bench on the pier while smoking cigarette."
They also said "when questioned he said the shooting was accidental. He says he heard the gun go off 3 times."

How stupid do you have to be to believe this crap?
What FELON on his day of release would touch a gun wrapped in a shirt on a bench? That's what people do with MURDER WEAPONS, you can get 25-life or the death penalty just for touching it.

How do you ACCIDENTALLY shoot someone 3 TIMES with a (handgun, semiautomatic) make model caliber not reported but enough attention is drawn to the shooting to have a presidential candidate interviewed about it the next day? Keep in mind that one candidate was the only personinterviewed about the incident on national news to date.

me> Francisco did not mention if he wrapped the gun back up in the shirt after he heard it go off. Perhaps the shirt was the only thing holding the three shots in the gun.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- In an interview you'll see only on ABC7 News, the man accused of shooting and killing a young woman at San Francisco's Pier 14 admitted to the crime and talked about where he got the gun.

Francisco Sanchez didn't recall every detail because he says he doesn't remember everything that happened. But in the 45 minute jailhouse interview, he revealed how the shooting went down and why he kept returning to the United States after being deported numerous times.

Barnard: "Did you shoot Kate Steinle, the lady who was down at Pier 14."
Sanchez: "Yes."
Barnard: "You did shoot her?"
Sanchez: "Mm hm," he said with a nod.

Francisco Sanchez, who's accused of fatally shooting a young woman at San Francisco's Pier 14, spoke exclusively to ABC7 News on July 5, 2015.

Steinle was shot and killed near the Ferry Building on Wednesday. Sanchez tells ABC7 News that the shooting was an accident. He says he was wandering on Pier 14 after taking sleeping pills he found in a dumpster.

Barnard: "Where did you get the gun?"
Sanchez: "In the ground. When the... when the... over there in the bench, um, um, I put my leg and I see the one T-shirt and then see over there something like that."

He claims a gun was wrapped in that T-shirt and that it went off when he picked it up.

"Then suddenly I heard that boom boom, three times," Sanchez said.

He claims he kicked the gun into the San Francisco Bay, lit up a cigarette, and walked off, not knowing he shot someone until he was arrested by police hours later. Sanchez reportedly first told police he was shooting at sea lions.

He appeared frail and nervous when he talked about returning to the U.S. after being deported back to his native Mexico five times.

Barnard: "Why did you keep coming back to the U.S., why did you come back to San Francisco?"
Sanchez: "Because I was looking for jobs in the restaurant or roofing, landscaping, or construction."

Sanchez said he knew San Francisco was a sanctuary city where he would not be pursued by immigration officials.

Sanchez: "Yeah, I'm feeling sorry for everybody."
Barnard: "You feel sorry for everybody? Including Kate Steinle's family?"
Sanchez: "Yeah."

In Spanish, Sanchez said the courts should give him the highest punishment so that he can tell her parents in court that he no longer wants to live.

ABC7 News reached out to the Steinle family on Sunday for their reaction to Sanchez's interview. They did not have any immediate comment, saying that right now their goal is preserving her memory.

At this point, Sanchez says he does not have an attorney.

The family has set up a GoFundMe account in memory of Kate Steinle.

The victim's family has a go fund me page which I think is a worthy cause. I was watching AC360 today and the family "doesn't want to get involved in the 'politics' surrounding the event." Carpet head sure does, I can't quote him per se but he reaffirmed his statements about immigrants before.
This turns my stomach, and it should be turning a lot of others too. In a span of less than a week carpet says "drug dealers murderers, rapists...." then this happens and he can't even wait until a funeral has been arranged or anybody from the family's interviews have aired before he's climbing over a stack of soapboxes and diving towards a microphone? They have a word for people like him, INHUMAN.
Now you have to ask yourself as the republican runner-up in popularity, IS he just doing this to separate jb from the rest of the 13? 15? republican candidates? He's a billionaire, if he doesn't win the primary or the election he's still filthy rich so so what?
Besides the FACT that the old rug has put off any Hispanic votes he might have gotten he slams jb with a tweet about him being married to a Hispanic woman. No word from their side. Obama won his two elections by dominating female and Hispanic votes, when PROVEN to be a current and growing trend at the polls, why would any serious candidate on either side, especially when Hillary is the leading democratic candidate and sure to get many female votes, drive a wedge between themselves and possibly the demographic that could be the deciding factor in the presidential election? Quite simply because someone had to solidify the field in the primary and stop the fragmentation of the GOP voter base and put ONE jb alone at the top.

Carpet head proved without a shadow of a doubt that the victim and her family's lives are worthless to him.
The only way a real serious primary runner-up would do anything close to this is if, well, he was either extremely stupid, which we know he's not, or if they wanted to media blast any other likely candidates away from the spotlight guaranteeing the front runners nomination for the election. Based upon the significant losses of very lucrative opportunities, debates, television and media contracts lost in the fallout now reaching multi millions, who could afford so costly a tirade and walk away still famous and laughing all the way to a finance minister cabinet seat or possibly even be appointed as treasurer while HIS man is in the oval office? There is an extremely short list of people who fit that bill, in their wallet.

Under fire for comments, Trump weighs in on California shooting.

A random fatal shooting in San Francisco, allegedly by an immigrant, proves the United States must tighten its borders, according to a statement on Friday by U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump, who is facing heavy criticism for his comments about Mexicans.

Kathryn Steinle, 32, was fatally shot as she walked with her father along the popular Embarcadero pier on Wednesday in what San Francisco police described as an apparent random attack.
Francisco Sanchez, 45, was quickly arrested nearby. He is on probation from Texas, police said.

He has a long criminal history and has been deported to Mexico five times, according to local media reports.

"This senseless and totally preventable act of violence committed by an illegal immigrant is yet another example of why we must secure our border immediately," Trump said in a statement.
"This is an absolutely disgraceful situation and I am the only one that can fix it. Nobody else has the guts to even talk about it," the billionaire developer and television personality said.

When announcing his plans on June 16 to seek the Republican nomination for president, Trump described immigrants from Mexico to the United States as drug-runners and rapists.

Francisco Sanchez, a convicted felon who had already been deported five times, was set free by San Francisco officials despite a federal request to detain him for deportation again. He was arrested in the apparent random shooting death this week of Kathryn Steinle at San Francisco’s popular Pier 14. San Francisco officials say they were merely following city policy when they released the undocumented immigrant in April.

Got to love those sanctuary cities. That is the only reason this $hitbag was there in the first place and wasn't turned over to ICE Agents after his 8th or 9th sentence was up. & priors for violent felonies.

Does California still have the Death Penalty, or did Jerry Brown screw Californian's on that too.
