I always thought of Trump as being sort of a clown but, compared to the clowns in DC, he doesn't look bad.

Are you sure about that? slaphead Big Mouth does it again. Foot in mouth syndrome.

My point was not that Trump is good. My point is that Washington is full of career politicians who have not served us well. He may not be worse.

Remember Wiener?

its nto so much career politicians,, its career narcissists who happened to choose politics to get their egotistical power hungry rocks off

theres no difference here,,,,,he just chose real estate and now wants to diversify into politics,,,

but no question its about uplifting Trump and nada to do with the best for the country..

Same could be said about your boy Barry.

I already covered that in another post,, same things Obama is slammed for/accused of,, some praise this one for instead

BUTLER COUNTY -- While many disagree with the controversial statements made by Donald Trump on illegal immigration.

The Sheriff of Butler County is standing behind Trump.

Sheriff Richard Jones says since he was elected sheriff in 2005, he has stressed the borders be closed.

And Jones says Trump "hit the nail on the head."

"I doubt that there's any doctors riding on top of the trains or sneaking across the border. I support legal immigration. Come across here legally, there's plenty for all of us, don't sneak across," Jones said.

Jones said he's glad Trump brought up the matter because he says it's a much needed discussion in our nation.

Donald Trump is being harassed in the press for having the audacity to merely point out the obvious: that illegal immigration poses a significant threat to the safety of our nation’s citizens. As Trump weathers the bad press, Fox News’ Sean Hannity asked Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu if Trump was right.

Sean Hannity: How accurate was Donald Trump? How accurate was he that this is a huge problem in terms of crime, etc.? Is he right or is he wrong?

Sheriff Paul Babeu: It’s a huge problem. He’s tapping into the anger that I and every American should feel. He’s going a little bit broader with a brush when he characterizes… It’s these criminal illegals, 30,000 last year that were released. And the numbers you quoted earlier, the murderers and the rapists. Who can justify the fact that they remain in our country? What do we think they’re going to do?

The left tries to frame this discussion as being “pro-Latino” and “anti-Latino.” In reality, it’s those who are opposed to crime versus those who support it. Not every illegal immigrant is a cold blooded killer, but each and every illegal is, in fact, a criminal as they flagrantly disobey our nation’s laws by coming here.

Finding 2 of anything that agree with Trump is not really a big deal, unless the elections were on Noah's Arch. He makes some good points but defeats them with his ego and bravado. For that reason alone he can't win.

One thing to take into account:

people who deal with problems for a living, know only problems.

I'm not in law enforcement, I repair machines. All I see are the broken and malfunctioning and badly designed ones. Because no one pays to have fix-it people come look at something that's working.

In the same way, Police and other such people who make their living from dealing with the problem people of the world, aren't getting called most of the time, to come see how wonderfully most people behave. They get called day and night, to deal with the jerks, the insane, the violent and the dangerous.

Of COURSE they are going to support better law enforcement. All they see are the troublemakers.

Besides, Trumps incredibly stupid mistake, which proves that he should NOT be President, isn't that he publicly says he supports strong law enforcement. It's that he purposely chose to say so in a way that WAS insulting in the extreme to an entire nation , and that he refused to rephrase that act of stupidity in order to see to it that he was understood to have respect for our nations neighbors.
