I was locked out of my account for over 7 hours, waiting for an admin to verify that I was not a scammer. I understand that this has happened to several members here already. It's unbelievable that the real scammers are overrunning this site while the legitimate members are being locked out and run off under the suspicion of being a scammer.

Is Mingle overhauling the system and is this their way of weeding out the scammer? I think that the legitimate members should have received some kind of announcement in the forums about this matter if we are all going to be subjected to the same weeding out process.

I've noticed this myself. It seems to me they don't know what a scammer profile looks like. Usually, a scammer profile will stay on 24/7. They are signed in all the time. 99 times out of 100 they will be young and beautiful with very nice boobs. They will go after the older men most of the time. They will try to make the older guy think they are attracted to them. Their pictures usually look too good. Almost like it's out of a magazine.

One would think they would know by the length of time a profile has been here. If you have been here, let's say since 2009, It's almost a 100% chance you are not a scammer. You wouldn't make it here that long because of all the people reporting you for asking for money.

Usually, a scammer profile will run for 1 to maybe 3 weeks before the scammer abandons it. They know they don't have a very long shelf life on a dating site. Usually, they move on and come back with a different picture. And do the same thing over again.

Well I was locked out once then I was deactivated once..

While I understand how frustrating it is trust me I was livid and after I calmed down a bit I have to have some understanding on that it is a new program.

I have been here for years I mean years... I also am 24/7 since my phone keeps me signed whether I am here for not.

I do answer several emails a day and since I am literally sitting on my butt 24/7 right now due to injuries I usually am posting like crazy...So something I did tripped it not once but twice.. grumble

They are trying and as long as the site is trying I am going to back them...

I have to also say that the number of scammers in my inbox is down...

Now for magazine picture quality not this girl not even close nice cleavage shots nope not going to put something like that up here...

IAM..Hang in there it isn't personal it is a machine and it tripped us... When it happens have a friend that you have access to to contact a MOD and they can contact tech support. Might take a while but you will get back on.

I am back on so I no longer need to worry about myself (I hope). I wrote this for everyone else's benefit in the forums. This is why I asked if this a weeding out process. Great idea if it is but would spare the good members a lot of anxiety if we were clued in.

It took a while for me to get back on, because of the time zones, but a lovely lady rescued me. flowerforyou Saying that my account was sorted and I was in bed then, so it wasn't really too long.

That's right Eric, its a new system they have in place to catch scammers but its got the most innocent people with it.

I'm sure they will sort it soon, there good here.

If it does reduce the scammers, then all good. And I have had less scammers, so I think it is working, just a few glitches along the way.

I would think Eric they cant give us a detailed explanation, because that will give away how there catching the scammers.

It would make life easier if there was a support e-mail address to reach the admins outside of the site. Once a member is locked out, you can't communicate with the site at all or reach anyone on it. I had to go outside the site and reach out to my friends to help me. I don't think this is right.

A quick word on this matter:

We are overhauling the system and we sincerely apologize to the legitimate members that have been caught by the new measures. We are definitely making necessary changes/improvements to the system as it evolves. In the end, the site will be much better for it.

Thank you.
