As a black man, (3 or 4 days a week)
I'm deeply offended, that anyone might
try to bamboozle Americans into believing, that being black, is an excuse for dumb behaviour.

me too, but someone being 'dumb' is also not an excuse for them to be killed either,,

So with all the protection and reinforcements the police have what is there to fear in the 6 non escalatory cases mentioned above?

The fear is deep rooted IMO, behind every street sign there's a probable chance of some crack dealer/thug that's just as heavily armed having no problem punching a few holes in anyone, especially cops.

Your argument is valid 1981, no one deserves to get shot by mistake but consider the daily dangers that lurk in the shadows of the innocent, blending into the population like insurgents... they have a tough job mentally, don't discount that, mistakes are going to happen if people don't comply with peace officers or soldiers in the field.
Some are just so focused (no names mentioned) on racism being the only factor in these unfortunate accidents that it distorts proper discussions. drinker

There ARE white crack dealers thugs gangs, that ADVERTISE and operate in plain sight. Cops don't shoot them until they start shooting. Look at the recent bike gang shoot out at a restaurant. How many of them have the cops shot? They knew they were an armed active shooting set of opposing gangs. That shoot out was less psychologically stressful than the cases I mentioned?
Also tensing ATTEMPTED this before. The guy he pulled over was recording him on his cellphone. He asked for the actual Cincinnati PD to come to the scene or to get another officer to come to the scene. He asked to hear an order from tensings supervisor telling the man that he would be arrested because tensing would not use those words or allow the driver to leave the site. This guy was pulled over for a broken bumper.
Why wouldn't he say "you're under arrest"? Because that would require paperwork he'd have to make up a reason he had for arresting the guy and possibly a court appearance. He'd have to answer for what he did and bring the guy in unharmed. On that stop he figured that shooting a person that was filming him would be difficult to answer for an opted to call his 'supervisor' on the radio. I wonder who that 'supervisor' was, the driver was ticketed and released. At this point we don't know if tensing had a body cam or dash cam recording that stop. On the DUBOSE stop we don't see anything from Dubose' pov, so tensing had the opportunity to be the only first hand testifier. Even his attorney lied on National tv saying the officers who responded to the crash corroborated his story. All we hear in all the audio and video released is one of what appeared to be four officers say "yeah I saw that" somberly. His attorney says they had no time to rehearse that.
If you saw someone being dragged by a car, almost run over, wouldn't you
1 ask if they are injured and
2 rush towards the car with your gun drawn until the driver was out and in handcuffs?
Nobody goes to the driver because tensing tells them that he fired one shot and the car still running isn't moving. They knew he was already dead because they didn't tell dispatch to get an ambulance with any sense of urgency. At least 4 officers with 4 radios and at least 4 phones, nobody calls for an ambulance. Someone, not sure who says "we need a medic here as tensing is 'explaining'(pronounced fishing for eyewitness testimony).
They haven't charged any other officers but they are suspended.

He posted bond for 1 count of Murder and 1 count of Voluntary Manslaughter.
