Why people consider face and figure more?

its the first thing they have to go on,,,

unless they HAVE to be around someone on a regular basis where they have not much choice but to get to know the 'internal'

I have become physically attracted to people AFTER becoming internally attracted

but most believe it it isnt in that initial physical observation, it cant happen,,,

and for some, maybe it cant

but yeah,, people can only go on the information they have, and the first thing they get to go on is what the eyes see,,,,

beauty is in the eye of the beholder
but its what is on the inside that keeps are attention

i didnt love my x wife any less when she went from 160 lbs to 300 lbs
it was the cheating that killed it for me

Why wouldn't you ? the people saying they don't care most are lying or just after your money lol.

In my case though looks are not that important but an average figure is not after a super model though way too thin lol.

For those that may not know, I am blind and can offer some interesting insight. Before I started attending college, I used to think that blind people were different than sighted people. I used to think that looks don't matter and its the inside that counts. One day in Psychology class, I realized that I was right and wrong. For me, it is the inside material that matters because that is how I am wired; however, the physical stuff plays a part as well. The stuff I cant see, like hair and eye color, don't mean a thing, but the things I can feel do. Skin texture, hair length and height can make a difference in my decision. . The one physical trait, that most people don't think about, that is really attractive to me is a person's voice. Some voices just totally turn me off while others are incredible.
So the answer to your question is that the physical stuff matters because it's the first thing to get our attention, and it continues to play a role. I hope I wasn't too longwinded in my answerand shed a diffrent light.

Good point...but the fact is the brain tells/activates the bodies reaction.setting aside the individual prediliction for certain traits like eye color hair etc. But man or woman I ask you to consider the most intense emotions you have had...sexually or emotionally or both.

And a woman who is aroused mentally..then makes love is tenfold more aroused...men...not so much but then why playboy? lol

If everyone gave everyone some time..the least would happen is they'd be friends....

They don't. People just don't pay conscious attention to everything else that goes on. People are lazy aka as efficient as possible in their information processing to make decisions.

It's just easier to say other people, or yourself, considers face and figure more, and it's easy to just rely on sight no matter how limited it is. Look at any 10 second cell phone video of police brutality and the rabid responses.

Other than that why do people do anything.
1. Mating.
2. Individual homeostasis.
3. Brain chemical highs.

Although, they all interact and have a different hierarchy of importance depending on the individual.
