good for him, receiving pay for his work like the rest of us

Yes, well the " rest" of us have to pay our taxes from monies we receive. Al doesn't seem to think that applies to him.. or NAN.. neither does paying for hotels.. or supplies.. or rent.. or furniture..

He didn't pay payroll tax... the #1 tax a employer must make sure they pay. Unless of course you are paying people " under the table".. but Al wouldn't do that.. would he?

Deadbeat

Messing up once can be deemed terrible bookkeeping.. doing it every year is called tax evasion and deception.

So, maybe the donations are going to back taxes?.. again, sponging off other people to feed your own purposes.... that's not work.. that's classic deadbeat. Actually poster child

But at least one of his companies ( Bo Spanky Consulting) is only behind $18.21... good for him. I guess Keeping Bo Spanky solvent is important.

Bo Spanky....Lol... how fitting

Now if he could work on cleaning up the other few Million he still owes, maybe he would then be able to demand accountability from other people

Im sure he will and is,,like millions are trying to clean up their debts and credit all over the USA

like I said, maybe he should have been 'smart' enough to file bankruptcy those years,, then he could be the lead runner of republican candidates,,,,,,

laugh laugh laugh laugh

financial problems are nothing new, terrible, or particularly unique,,,,

especially in the USA

You right, millions in the U.S had to try to clean up their finances or credit during the down turn. But those people had to because of job loss or some other financial disaster when money was no longer coming in. Not many that had millions thrown at them every year for doing nothing. A steady supply of money coming in. Actually more and more each year.

Yet, Sharpton even found a way to screw that up.

And we do agree one thing. "He's not smart enough"...

sucks when your hero is a loser..Lol

I dont have 'a hero', people who have 'heroes' often have the tunnelvision to see them in some light of perfection,, which noone is,,,

I have no heroes, though I credit people for doing 'heroic' things

people have flaws and strengths,,, I can celebrate the strengths without being ignorant of the flaws,, and require noone, of any economic level, eduational status, nationality, career, race, creed, culture , or gender

to be without both

I have great respect for much of what SHARPTON has done for civil rights and for individuals who may not have been heard without the spotlight that follows him and for communities suffering from violence and poverty

having financial problems does nothing to negate those strengths,,,,

they labeled king an agitator for it while he lived, and they label Sharpton race baiter,, but both continued the struggle anyway

I'd say that that's a VERY flawed comparison, MsH. Can you even seriously imagine Dr. King allowing his taxes to repeatedly "fall behind" like that??

Yes, both of those guys might "play in the same arena", but there's a MASSIVE disparity in the character of the two men.

Tax aside for a minute,I don't recall any stories of MLK stiffing hotels, landlords, service companies, ect, ect... do you?. Do you think that is a " financial oversight"?.. not paying for services or items rendered until forced to in a court of law. And that obvious character flaw is a trait of a leader?. This is someone you look up to.. and admire?, thus condoning this behavior?

isn't a leader supposed to lead by example? Is this what the " reverend" is teaching his young followers?.. not to be responsible for their own actions. To have someone else pay their way.. and their debts, thru the form of donations.

The one you admire so much is a deadbeat MHS.. pure and simple. I know you hate hearing that.. but inside.. you know it. By all means write that check out to NAN to support the "cause". .Somehow I don't think you ever have..or will, why.. because your not that stupid with your own money.. are you.

I dont know, maybe he did, for all I know, its not what he became famous for though and not a similarity/difference that I was making

specifically I stated, 'in terms of shining a light on civil rights'

lol

no, Im not concerned about his finances,, and being that media is 400 percent different from MLKS day most have no idea about what his may have been either

as far as Sharpton he isnt in jail for fraud or tax evasion, so apparently hasnt broken any laws and suffers from being fiscally irresponsible or poor at budgeting,,

nothing that I immediate associate with 'character'

and nothing that weighs in on his part in the civil rights struggle

Interesting... so your saying that maybe MLK was a deadbeat too?... not much in the press to give that any credence.. actually nothing. but no shortage on Sharpton's... shall we say... financial stupidity... no shortage at all.

wow, paraphrasing skills are a bit slack here

what I said was that 'MOST' (That includes me) dont really have a clue what MLKS financial situation may have been

I am not one to believe the press is of the interest or capabiligty to report ON every face of everyones life,, the fact they made little report just means we dont know, and it still wouldnt matter in terms of the impact he made on CIVIL RIGHTS

A black kid asks his mother, "Mama what's Socialism and what is Racism?"
"Well son, Socialism is when white folks work every day so we can get all our benefits, you knows like free cell phones for each family member, rent subsidy, food stamps, EMC, free healthcare, a Yearly IRS bonus check for having so many kids, an extra monthly check for each kid from Social Security because they all have a vague mental defect, utility subsidy, free computers and Internet connection, free food, free clothing, free gifts at Christmas, & on & on, …for never ending generations of the same family. That's Socialism."

"But mama, don't the white people get mad about that?"

"Sure they do son, that's called Racism!"
