We need to remove the dramatics from politics. It is becoming more and more like a soap oprea feeding off of the emotions of the citizens and using such things like media, religion, money, race, class, color, political parties ext. To separate us into smaller more easier to work groups. While securing the wants and needs of big business industry and the wealthy all while taking the basic rights away from people. Our everyday life is being stripped of morals and intellect. The very attitude towards life that is being pushed is that of a one size fits all adolescent, immature, naive and ignorant tantrum. This tantrum openly degrades society as it allows the separation of the youth from their elders. Respectfully if our elders show that they hold no worth by being insulted by such a compliment we are and will forever be lost. As our youth today has very little guidance in a world that revolves around falsification, insanity and manipulation.

It's the classic facepalm moment when it comes to liberals trying to push their gun control agenda, especially the one peddled by this current administration. Katie wrote about what we could expect from President Obama’s new executive orders on gun regulations last night, which included provisions that are already law. This morning, the president delivered remarks in the East Room of the White House on his new (ish) policies that included this whopper, which the White House Twitter account disseminated for everyone to mock:

"A violent felon can buy the exact same weapon over the internet with no background check, no questions asked"? No, Mr. President, violent criminals can’t just go online and buy firearms. That's illegal.

Lars Dalseide of the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action told Townhall, "any sale from any licensed dealer first has to go through a background check. It doesn't matter if he's selling the firearm at a store, online, or at a gun show. When it comes to online sales, guns can only be transferred to the buyer through a federally licensed firearms dealer – that’s the law."

Bud's Gun Shop, which prides itself as the number one online retailer of firearms in the world, also noted that shipping your purchase to a local federal firearms licensed dealer in order for a background check to be conducted is necessary for making the transaction legal in accordance to all state and federal laws. FFL dealers make online purchases legal and without them, as Bud's tutorial video noted; "the whole process wouldn't be possible."

As for criminals who might want to buy a gun online, it's highly unlikely. First, criminals don’t go to Gander Mountain to buy firearms since they require background checks on all firearms purchases. Also, criminals won't be visiting gun shows for their guns either. In fact, a University of Chicago study showed that criminals (shocker) avoid legal avenues when it comes to obtaining guns.

These executive orders will do nothing to stop future gun violence, and the NRA, which finds itself under siege (again), knows this all to well. In a statement released today, the executive director for the organization’s Institute for Legislative Action said,"Once again, President Obama has chosen to engage in political rhetoric instead of offering meaningful solutions to our nation's pressing problems. Today's event also represents an ongoing attempt to distract attention away from his lack of a coherent strategy to keep the American people safe from terrorist attacks."

"The American people do not need more emotional, condescending lectures that are completely devoid of facts. The men and women of the National Rifle Association take a back seat to no one when it comes to keeping our communities safe. But the fact is that President Obama's proposals would not have prevented any of the horrific events he mentioned. The timing of this announcement, in the eighth and final year of his presidency, demonstrates not only political exploitation but also a fundamental lack of seriousness."

"The proposed executive actions are ripe for abuse by the Obama Administration, which has made no secret of its contempt for the Second Amendment. The NRA will continue to fight to protect the fundamental, individual right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed under our Constitution. We will not allow law-abiding gun owners to become scapegoats for President Obama’s failed policies."

One thing is for sure–and that is gun sales are probably going to go through the roof.

Don't worry about Chicago, Mayor Rahm Emanuel has ordered Tasers for all the police there. That will stop the gun violence there.

Wow..this guy really is a moron...I try so hard to respect the man and then he spews out this crud...hail Hitler...geez..and its speeches like this that make me grateful technology is so advanced...it's easy for average people to see and understand just how corrupt the U.S. Government has become...now if only we could stop them....
