I do not judge a book by it's cover but if the pages are pretty much empty then why bother to keep advertising the book and not make what is in it more interesting?

What if it is written in Braille?, that will throw in a monkey wrench...

No no, I myself don't judge. I am glad that you opened up for writing together a new chapter of your life book. I pray that we may help you filling the pages with meaningful things.

Looks can be deceiving

Some things are not what they seem, others are exactly as they appear.
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck.
Don't piss on my boots and tell me it's raining.
I've seen it with my own two eyes.
Eyewitness testimony is the most damning.

There are lots of sayings and things that tell people to make judgments based on appearances.

Don't judge a book by its cover.......

Good thing people aren't static objects.
A persons cover tells a lot about a person.

IMO the idiom should be changed to something more like "don't judge a book by its cover unless you're willing to create some drama with the author."

As it relates to dating if people didn't judge others based on looks or cover information then there would be no dating sites. Only white pages. Where people would start on a page, call up some completely random stranger, and ask them out.

"Hmmmm, well, you say you're the same sex as me, and you appear to be the same sex as me and only 8 years old, but, well, I don't judge books by their covers, so you aren't worthless to me for dating purposes. Let's just go out and see what happens."

I'll take the judging books by their covers and the downside frustrations with that over the opportunity costs of dating anyone and everyone no matter how initially attracted to them I am.

Don't judge a book by its cover.......

Why not? I can tell by the cover whether I will like the book, and I'm rarely wrong.
That goes for books as well as the metaphor by the way ...

I'm intuitive, I can read photos, I pick up energies from photos.

Apart from that ... the cover is what you get to see each morning you wake up and what you have to look at all day every day.
If it isn't appealing, maybe even off-putting to you ... helluva thing to have to live with.

The 'cover' often is a pretty good reflection of what the 'book' is going to be like.
