On the internet or in real life. * A name is only a name. * A photo is only a photo. * Looks will only get you so far. What we do with them in our mind is not always reality. On the internet I feel the writing from the hearts or minds brings out and reflects individual. No sounds or distraction, the words convey clarity. The little squiggle the strange focused mark all identify uniqueness. A name is only a name. A photo is only a photo. Women who respect themselves generally have standards about how they wish to be approached doug, and if we have daughters, I imagine most of us would want to teach them to demand that degree of respect from males as well, in terms of how men present themselves to us (( Peggy )) Agreed with you . conceited women are a huge turn off. If the user name has "sexy"etc.. anywhere in it, then they automatically aren't to me. Exactly Hawk! Nothing cute about over-sized egos .

I see it as borderline hostile to the world; especially women, and report them, as the sick puppies they are, and block them. Why waste my time? The "Your Momma" type lectures would just give them the attention they want.When you feed the wolf it only grows.

Sadly, the problem doesn't just stop with the user name. Some blokes add to the stupidity by doing a really bad impersonation of Austin Powers.

I guess its because it's not as invasive an explicit name, Strangely enough, none of the men with those names ever sent a salacious message to me, It's always just a generic "Hi" It makes me wonder if some of these guys are aware of how much negativity we women attach to their sleazy names?
