Obama is a sick puppy. We are lucky that restrooms and gender are all he cares about. Hopefully, we will be rid of him soon.grumble

That was name calling, and you did it a very light acceptable way. He's worse, very perverted and very racist, and very ignorant. Shoving this bathroom crap down taxpayers throat, just as he did with healthcare. He's nothing more than a street corner activist, has no meaning to what he says, but creates chaos with what he says. He's worthless anywhere he goes.

"""As Governor, I recommend that local school districts disregard the latest attempt at social engineering by the federal government and continue to use common sense to ensure a safe and healthy environment in Arkansas schools. While the letter implies federal money could be withheld, the letter is nothing more than guidance and is not legally binding.""

The State of TEXAS was the FIRST to make a similar statement (this morning).

that liberal woman mayor (A. Parker) we had here tried it last year, throwing in a bathroom bill at the last moment... it was still widely defeated, and then she was voted out in the last election...

1st they gave us gun free zones to deal with terrorists they won't call by name, now it's safety free zones for children!

The pedophiles, ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood, and criminal illegal aliens all love Barry.

What a legacy of idiocy this fool and his liberal brand leave in his wake! slaphead

Just about nowhere does anyone actually state the real facts but instead want to only address the issue of the deranged, of course starting with Odumbo.

In this nation of approximately 330 million souls, there are approximately 330,000 transgenders according to consensus being bantered around.

Since when does the unwarranted rights of one that has made a conscious choice to deviate from what their creator deemed them to be override the actual rights of all others? Well it doesn't except in a slave nation where some believe themselves to be the masters of all others.

Well from my perspective, if one where to transgress or more properly trespass upon the rights of my daughter, they would die, quickly based upon the common law rights of trespass.

If those choosing not to identify with their birth sex, then they have the right to medically alter it appear as they wish and be accepted as such.

As for Odumbo, does that mean Michelle needs to start using the men's room?

another thing people tend to forget is that this same bill has been before congress 3 times already, and each time congress shot it down... now king obarry forces it through via other means...

And let's not forget that "Slick Willie" wants to go both ways, unlimited access to the women's room when he "feels" that identity and to the "little" boy's room when he "feels" that identity.

10 lawsuits filed on Friday

The suit argues the Obama administration’s directive was an overreach and a misinterpretation of Title IX, a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity.

"Neither the text nor the legislative history of Title IX supports an interpretation of the term 'sex' as meaning anything other than one's sex as determined by anatomy and genetics," the lawsuit said.

wonderful , because this is an issue concerning me and I have researched for fuller in context information

the gist is: the directive is an FYI explaining how already enforced Title IX which may deny federal funding in certain situations of discrimination; (in this case sexual discrimination) will apply to the transgender issue

the directive goes on to explain that the interpretation of sex will include 'gender identity' as well as/instead of just anatomy, basically.

The school policy does require that the parent or guardian has notified the school of the childs transgender status, but beyond that no other proof is necessary

The interpretation of gender being the same as SEX, means that transgender students will use the same bathrooms as students with the actual anatomical sex and locker rooms

I still STRONGLY disagree that anatomical females should have to share their private spaces, and spaces where they are nude, with anatomical males who 'identify' as female

but I have a bit of a relief that there will be some process to keep just anyone from walking into anywhere at school and claiming they identify with the other sex

few parents are going to make up something like that

I agree with this, I hope the states win,, SEX is about anatomy

'gender' is social

I do support a move to have 'gender neutral' bathrooms so those who don't want to feel unwelcome and those who want to be welcoming can use the bathroom together

well, whenever you give extra rights to one group, you take away rights for others...

if trannys choose to desecrate themselves, they should be made aware of the aftermath...

its not even an 'extra right'

its another redefinition, like with marriage
now being female or male, isn't joined to being a woman or a man

and isn't about , ya know, if you are the part of the species that receives the seed or carries it,, but about how you 'identify'

just like marriage is now about your 'fundamental right' to be 'happy' with whomever you choose as long as they are unrelated (for now anyway)

since when is being happy a fundamental right? if i think killing people or animals makes me happy, then i should have a fundamental right to be happy?? that whole line about a right to be happy is flawed, the BoR says we have "a right to pursue happiness", nothing else...
