Holocaust Victims remembered. Why aren't the Victims of the Roman Catholic Inquisitions Remembered?

This year, 2016, May 5th was the day that the Victims of the Holocaust of World War 2 are remembered; especially the 6 million Jews who were killed during the War. Much has been said as to the "Official Record" on whether what done was true or not to the Jewish people during the War that wound up killing over 70 Million people - like before 1938, the Nazis and the Zionists were "working together" to round up the Jews to populate Israel - and then when the Nazi's needed workers for the War - that all stopped.

But what bothers me the most, is why don't we have a "Remembrance Day" for the Victims of the 1000 YEAR "Murderous and Torturous" Inquisitions of the Roman Catholic Church? There were EIGHTY (80) Popes who Tortured, Maimed and Killed Bible Believing Christians, Jews, and some pagans all across Europe, Africa, India and Persia. MILLIONS and MILLIONS of INNOCENT PEOPLE were sawed in half, had their eyes burned out, boiled in oil and pitch, beheaded, fed to lions, bears and tigers. They were tortured with all kinds of Medieval Racks which broke their bones and stretched their joints out of sockets t the point where blood came out of their mouths and ears. They were crippled forever, if they were allowed to live. Some were disemboweled while still alive.

Foxes Book of Martyrs has these DETAILED ACCOUNTS of ALL these deaths, which when read - changes the life of the person reading it. It's even on Youtube and you can have it read to you.

Awesome!
Then we can have a day of remembrance,
for all the nice folks who were lynched by
Baptists who belonged to a certain hooded
"secret society".

Millions and millions of victims.

well, the Germans were meticulous Recordkeepers.so I doubt they were killing their own Volksgenossen and palmed them off as Jews!

victims of mass murder , massacres and genocides should be always remembered no matter what religion , race or ideology they belonged to , even Pagans were aggrieved when Christianity became the official religion of the Roman empire ..
I believe that mentioning Holocaust nowadays is because of being the most recent act of mass murder on huge scale against certain group of people based on their belief , taking into consideration that it happened across a whole continent ( Europe ) and wasn't limited to one country or region .

I think that history is not as directly tied to modern americans as the holocaust is with modern (jewish) americans

In a way I agree. I think the difference is that the holocaust was recent. I know folks who survived Auschwitz, my father took pictures of a liberated Bergen-Belsen. The Crusades were a long long time ago and there are no pictures. I am not saying that it is right it just is.

Closer to home there is no remembrance for the people that Stalin had killed or Pol Pot. Maybe it is because the problem during WWII was so wide spread with anti semitism across the world from GB to the US to Europe and still is. I don't understand why Christians (Luther was the first among many) can be antisemitic. We worship a Jew.
