Oops! What a typo.... I almost passed it but am given to benefit of doubt....

I actually lost myself some time last year. I had a very demanding job and a terrible boss. He was verbally abusive. I dreaded opening my office mail inbox. He could bash me even in meetings! I was so frustrated. Waking up to go to work became a struggle. I lost weight as well as my glow. My doctor warned me my system my breakdown and end up hospitalized. I badly needed my job so resignation wasn't an option.
Reason for my sufferings? My boss was lustful and I refused to play along! I finally lost my job in January 2016, he made his threats true!

Immediately after I lost my job I had a candid meeting with my lost self. I remembered my dad's words when I was growing up.....no one has the power to destroy me unless I allow them. I am this gal full of life and in love with life. I had to find myself. Not in bitterness or self pity or another job or my family and friends. And not in professional counseling my loved ones wanted me to try....

I found myself within! In the least expected place, my inner self. Immediately, I bounced back to life. I shocked myself and everyone who was worried about me.
Yes, lost and found in the least expected place. Thank God for life!

Sorry it's a long one but I felt I needed to share

When I last moved I had to pack quickly I lived next to a river and it was flooding so I literally threw everything in the back of the Uhaul. I lost my grandfathers gold cross from his casket which meant the world to me and I was just beside myself with guilt. One month later I was cutting some old cardboard boxes down to take to the dump and it fell out,I think it was a sign.

Well when I was living in Sitka, I had my dog with me as usual up til this time I had never left her period, I thought I had the window rolled up far enough that my dog couldn't jump out and follow me. She is my best friend to this day and well she goes everywhere with me, she is a service animal. She didn't have her vest on so I thought she will be fine I told her to stay.
I was just going to pop in and pay my cable bill. I ran into an old friend and chatted for no more than 10 minutes tops...I went back to my car and no Sass. My heart just about dropped, I am running up and down the streets like a maniac, screaming her name. She is only 8 pounds on a good day.

Nothing no one had seen her nothing. I have to explain in Sitka people knew my dog... Not many toy poodles wearing a pink service vest.

Anyway to make a long story short, yes I called animal control police department etc.. I went home totally devastated thinking by my negligence I lost my best friend my imagination going in all directions. Tears everywhere...
As I was walking up the stairs to my door I had a small deck area. I see my dog. Someone had found her downtown and brought her to my deck area. They left a note on my front door letting me know that they had found her in front of the cable office and didn't see me anywhere so they brought her to me. Never signed the note.

I sat and cried for hours that day and thanked the Lord for the Gift of her back...

She turned 13 on 4/15 and I can count the times I have left her on one hand. Just can't do it.

It is amazing how our pets mean the world to us...I would have traded my life anytime for my chihuahuas.

Thank you for sharing, even though your story brought tears to my eyes because my pets have always been like children to me. It's hard for some people to understand but to animal lovers we all know they are members of our family and there is nothing we wouldn't do for them and they are just as important as our human family members. I'm so happy you were reunited!

Where is the strangest place you found something you thought you'd never see again...besides a tongue stud.tongue2

I've been to the point in my life where I felt totally lost and heartbroken. I've tried to look for answers everywhere just to fill the emptiness in my heart and in my life. I even stayed in my room for 3 months crying and reading the Bible , been to different places finding answers there that could heal the hole in my heart. Until one day I was invited by my officemate to attend to their Church's service. There I found myself, I learned to receive and give love with no reservation, I learned to be more open and most of all I found God in my heart. Finally I realized that my life I owe it all to our Creator, our Lord and Savior. I learned to trust GOD and put everything in HIS hand and no matter what happens God knows the desires of my heart and HE can make all things possible.happy

Very sweet and touching. I also had a similar experience about 10 years ago and found solace in the church, it did not really give me the answers I was looking for but it gave me the ability to relax, be grateful for what I had in my life, and to see things as they really are. There was a special glow that came over me as a result of my time there and I still practice prayer to this day.

Sometimes the answers that we look for in our lives or the things that we want are not granted it's because God has a purpose and plan for us ......(Jeremiah 29:11)
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."happy smile2
