Now I know how hard the feeling of hiding what's really true. The truth is I'm inlove with my bestfriend where in fact choosing to love "him" or saving our relationship as friend, it's cheezy but oh well, i don't know what to do.

One time I texted him and said I decided to keep distance for a while because I already love him more than a friend, from then til' now we don't have any means of communication but we often see each other with other friends.

The question is how did he respond? Is it worth losing a friend for a more serious relationship? These are questions only the both of you can answer.Best of luck to your sir.

You're in love with him but only want to be friends coz you don't want to lose the friendship.
You got it all figured out to your satisfaction i guess.

What was the point of this thread again?what

I'm guessing the obstacle is maybe the best friend may not have the same sexual orientation? I believe I read op that you did express your feelings to your best friend. That's the best you can do. Wish you the best.

Hmmm. Since you already told him your feelings, it seems like the ball was in his court. If he wanted a romantic relationship with you, I think he would have told you so.

The only option here is trying to salvage the friendship if he is willing. But of it were me , I would take the idea of a romance off the table unless he expressed interest. Hope everything works out for you flowerforyou

Don't specifically see your problem here. Unless your friend's not into you as you are to them, then can see a problem. But first and foremost for any relationship too work, the two have to be literally best friends. Friendship always has to come first in a relationship, because without that, there is no "companionship" between the two.

The lady OP here is actually implying that if she divulged her feelings to her male friend, she is afraid that her male friend would shy away from her and thus losing him totally, rather than keep her feelings to herself and still mingle with her friend but then she is on the brink of her emotions and so what I could probably say is be vigilant of how he treats you if you feel he treats you in a special way then he might have some feelings for you but if the treatment you receive is just the same as how he treats your other friends then you would know it by instinct or if not spill it out if you are ready to accept the pain of rejection but I don't think so he would walk away just because you told him about how you feel for him, you're just human, it's understandable, I have male friends who sometimes falls in love with me but I politely ask them to give their attention to someone else and we still remained friends so don't jump right away into conclusions, you will never get the answers until you open yourself up....just a thought for you to ponder on...
