Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
How true?

Not very, there's a reason why the small family farm is disappearing.

"Work" is relative.

Other than that, opportunity is presented to you every moment of every day.

I'd say it would be more accurate if it was worded something more like "Rewarding opportunity is missed by a lot of people because of a finite and fallible interpretation of short term and long term gain valuation, inability to conceptualize a realistic value system, not to mention poor discipline."

I think it's just a part of reality for people, especially older generations, to start saying things like "kids these days is lazy!
I see them skateboarding and beatnicking at starbutt's all day, half days at school, spending all their time internetting and texturbating.
Back in my day we had to walk everywhere, through snow, uphill the entire way, after up at dawn chores! Kids got it easy today so they're stupid and don't realize what they got. Youth's wasted on the young. Opportunity is missed because it's dressed up in overalls and looks like work! Pull up your pants, turn down the music, and get a job!"

My employer of 35 years ago wore overalls, and drove an old car (Dodge Dart) He was a visionary of his time, and became one of the most powerful men in the area. Another employer of mine was also a very unpretentious man,and would complain to me about spending too much on supplies.I would just do my job,and get what I needed to complete whatever I was doing. When there was a big lay-off,most of my superiors were let go,and I was one of three left standing....
