I don't know. I have heard of women having children over 50 years of age. It's not for me.

Yup, ive had my sons. But at 50's what about the risks of birth defects?

It is more difficult for a woman to get pregnant in her 40's and there are more risks. I'm no expert, of course. I don't know all the extra health risks in your 40's and 50's.

I was talking to a friend at work. She just got married. She said she is thinking of starting a family. I said "going to adopt?" She said, nooooo.
Well have our own. It got me thinking. They are both in around 50.

Having a child at or over 50 seems rather self-serving... certainly not doing the 'child' any favours - various reasons -
