Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was rushed offstage by the Secret Service during a rally in Nevada Saturday night, but returned within minutes.

The agency said in a statement that Trump was removed from the stage at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center after someone shouted "Gun!", causing a commotion. The Secret Service said that one person was apprehended and no weapon was found after a search of the surrounding area.

KRXI reported that one man holding a "Republicans Against Trump" sign was briefly detained and was later released from custody.
A source told Fox News that someone in the crowd saw another attendee reach around his back and toward his waistband. The first person shouted "Gun!" several times, sparking panic right in front of the stage where Trump was speaking.

Two Secret Service agents quickly surrounded Trump before hustling him off the stage. Trump returned moments later and told the crowd," "Nobody said it was going to be easy for us. But we will never be stopped. Never, ever be stopped."

Witness David Newton told the Reno Gazette-Journal that the man holding the sign was trying to get closer to the stage just before the disturbance.

"He had something on his belly. I don’t know what it was,” Newton told the paper. “Somebody yelled 'gun' and everyone jumped on him. My friend put his knee on his head, but he kept getting up.”

After the incident, Trump's son, Donald Jr. and top campaign aide Dan Scavino falsely claimed that there had been an "assassination attempt" against the candidate even though no weapon was found.
Both men re-tweeted a message that read, "Hillary ran away from rain today [at a rally in Florida]. Trump is back on stage minutes after assassination attempt."

At Trump's next rally in Denver, a pastor, introduced as Father Andre Y-Sebastian Mahanna, also falsely called the Reno incident "an attempt of murder against Mr. Trump." Mahanna blamed the incident on the media for inciting hate against the Republican nominee.
The Secret Service statement noted that magnetometers are used at presidential campaign sites.

"All general public attending these events must go through a magnetometer screening prior to entering a protected area," the agency said.

WikiLeaks Emails Bombshell: Why Is Donald Trump Protester Austyn Crites Listed In Multiple Attachments

The WikiLeaks emails have given the world a chance to see the reality behind Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, the campaign that rallies behind her and the establishment Democrats who back her every move.

Now the WikiLeaks emails have yielded another surprise, as Austyn Crites, the protester who caused an assassination scare at the Donald Trump rally in Reno, Nevada, on Saturday, has been found within the leaked email attachments.

Austyn Crites is hauled off by authorities after causing assassination scare at Reno Trump rally.

His name, when searched for on the WikiLeaks website, yields seven results.

Despite this, the connection between Crites and Clinton is questionable.

Why does this anti-Trump demonstrator, who after his short protest claimed to be a Republican against Trump, have his name present in any WikiLeaks emails?

Some Twitter users are spreading the false narrative that Crites’ name shows up in WikiLeaks’ John Podesta emails, which have been released to the public in recent weeks and uncovered shocking revelations into the people and activities surrounding Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

This, however, is not true. The attachments where Austyn Crites’ name is found belong in a group of more than 5 million emails WikiLeaks have labeled “Global Intelligence Files,” which include messages from mid-2004 to late 2011, and center around a “global intelligence” company based in Texas named Stratfor.

The Stratfor emails “reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency.”

According to International Business Times, the WikiLeaks emails show that Crites purchased a book from Stratfor called “The Next Decade,” as his name shows up in lists of buyers, all of which it appears were sent as email attachments and not in the email messages themselves.

Donald Trump Jr. and a number of Trump supporters took to Twitter to call out Austyn Crites as a lackey being paid by the Clinton campaign to cause mayhem at Trump rallies.

You may remember a few weeks ago when right-wing activist and documentarian James O’Keefe of Project Veritas released a video, “Rigging the Election – Video I: Clinton Campaign and DNC Incite Violence at Trump Rallies,” in which Hillary Clinton’s campaign staff are caught admitting they pay people to disrupt Trump rallies in order to enrage the Republican nominee’s hothead supporters. The desired result of doing this is to make Trump fans react with violence, thus painting them as bloodthirsty heathens.

Some Trump supporters, upon discovering “Austyn Crites” printed within several WikiLeaks emails, are implying that he must be one of these heathens, as before his disruption in Reno, Austyn’s Facebook profile looked very pro-Hillary, despite the fact that he told the press that he’s an anti-Trump Republican.

Why did Austyn Crites update his FB banner after the #RENO #TrumpRally assassination attempt to remove #ImWithHer logo?? pic.twitter.com/T5V0JAfoq7

— Νia????IndictHillary???? (@nia4_trump) November 6, 2016

“As reported, the anti-Trump protestor addressed media after the incident. He said: ‘I’m a Republican and have been supporting Republican candidates for quite some time. But I just don’t support Donald Trump. I’ve been fairly vocal during the primary process as well as now.'”

It’s not unheard of to find an anti-Trump Republican who plans on voting for Hillary Clinton, but if the content of the above tweet is genuine, Crites removed pro-Hillary content from his Facebook profile not long after triggering the assassination scare at Donald Trump’s Reno rally. Did he tweak his profile because he was aware his name was going to be massively searched for, while knowing his profile had better reflect the statement he gave the media?

The only evidence to suggest Crites was paid by the Clinton campaign to disrupt Trump’s Reno rally lies in the Project Veritas video from James O’Keefe, because it proves that the campaign does pay agitators to wreak havoc at Trump events. Hence, it’s entirely possible Austyn is one of these agitators.

The WikiLeaks emails that have Crites’ name listed were all sent in 2011 and released by the whistleblower organization in 2013. Does this connection prove Austyn was paid to cause mayhem at a Donald Trump rally? Or are these pro-Trump Twitter users making mountains out of molehills?

Of course he was PAID for mayham. Just like Blacks & Hispanics & Illegal Aliens etc.. were.

HRC is getting increasingly desperate.
200 people max at rallies, when Trump draws in 200,000 - 300,000.

By 'someone', hiring this guy, they are TRYING to give the impression of....
"See, Trump upsets REPUBLICAN people so much, that he /TRUMP, somehow ,magically drove this MAN to violence."

Hhhaaa... NO.
Nice try though, with the divide & conquer tactics.

The past is always the best indicator of the future. And the past has TOO much evidence to implicate this guy in a
conspiracy .
Paid, or blackmailed. Who cares? He is still guilty & so is everyone backing him.

no gun found....protester released no charges....magnetometer in use at these events

if the protester had yelled "he's got a gun" the crowd would have
had someone else on the ground and not him...they jumped him because
he was holding an anti Trump sign, then someone yelled out...

imo....the whole thing was staged

He works for Hillary Clintons campaign in Northern Nevada based in Reno. A good friend of mine who is an Officer in Reno told me all about it.

He was reaching with one hand around his waistband, and that makes everyone a little jumpy. I think calling gun on that was the wrong thing to do at that time. That's a good way to get someone killed.
