Who cares? If someone expects to be the only one you are talking too and gets offended that they're not...you dodged a bullet.

people are ridiculous, adults have many friendships, and dating/looking is a SELECTION process. ..selection implies you have more than one choice. ..

I'd frankly be scared if I was THE ONLY one someone was talking too, it would put too much pressure to early. ...now if we agree and meet and decide to start dating...then, and only then would I expect them not to be talking to someone else

May be true, but to find out during a chat that the other is talking to someone else at the same time is not nice.
It means someone's attention and focus is not with your conversation but spread thin over at least two.
It also means you have to wait longer for a reply, which isn't nice. Think of it as having 2 different conversations at the same time in a restaurant or pub or wherever. I think both other parties would leave, because it's simply not nice to be treated that way. Everyone wants attention when in conversation.
I mean, be honest, would you stay if a woman was talking to both you and another man when you had an interest in the woman? You'd probably cut your losses and find better, more polite companionship.
The fact that you may talk to others at another time is totally different.

crystal hey its kinda different in chat especially as there are times messages from other people appear simultaneously and one is just being polite to answer back ... well at least to those who are interesting to talk to. it is very seldom these things happen though that when it did it was really embarrassing lol i am therefore guilty as chargedslaphead

You've just stumbled on the REAL REASON why lots of people make up cutesy names for each other.

It's not because they are soooo in love with you, it's a cover for the fact that they can't remember your real name.

Nope. I hate cutesy names. I tend to pick ever so slightly annoying ones.

This is immature adults date more than one person at a time as no one is meeting all of the needs of the other and dating is in itself not even serious If you are feeling naïve and want assurances of commitment I suggest stop dating as if you aren't willing to play the game and date and let the better person prevail you were not likely to be the one anyway.Courage and an open agenda will often prevail but in anything important, there is risk the greater the reward the higher the risk of course....

an open agenda is like being honest and saying that youre not exclusively talking to just one person risking the possibility of a real relationship ? but then would you agree that if that person stays its one way of telling you how sincere and interested the person really is to be part of your life winkingwinking
