What the hell is going on in this world? Regardless of who right or wrong and who is in power, thousands of 'innocent people are dying! !!
I have a idea. We should form a group made up from several countries, we could call it the UN, oh hold on, we already have that! All they do is waste paper, yes, writing strong letters that nobody gives a **** about, remember Iraq, Bosnia and many other countries. and yet when they decide to do something they tie the troops hands behind their backs with rules of engagement ' obviously decided by some official twat that has never been in conflict. compare the UN with the football governing body, jobs for the boys! !!!!

I agree.. 100%.. what is happening in Syria is absolutely terrible. But so is the current U.S. response to that, which has done little to stop I.S.I.S.

So either the new President finishes what we intended to do.. once and for all.. or this kind of situation will continue

That being said

I am one American that is sick and tired of America jumping into all of these type situations. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see people suffering but I also do not want to see us being called every time some country needs "a cop". Then only to be bashed around the globe for being aggressive.

I think countries should deal with there own strife's,.. win or lose.. with the exception of pure humanitarian, we should stay out unless it is a direct threat to our own security.. direct threat

JMO.. may be right.. may be wrong.. just tired of seeing our men and women in foreign lands.. and dying there.

Good point, and I agree with you, a few years ago before the Internet we wouldn't have been any the wiser, we shouldn't try to impose our culture and democracy on others.

It's a lot more difficult then that. With the UN you have over 100 countries and the Security Council that can NEVER agree on anything. The UN should be bulldozed and removed from American soil. They are useless. Now NATO could in fact do something since ISIS has attacked member nations and that right there under the charter agreement could send troops in but our current President has taken a "soft" stance on Syria. Plus the US and Russia on different sides of the battle isn't helping.

With that said don't think for a minute we don't have a boots on the ground in Syria. We may not come out and say we have troops there but we have had Special Forces (SEAL's, Delta Operators and Force Recon) there as we speak. They may have been transferred to the CIA's special activities division which is a common way we send troops into other countries covertly. Think the Bin Laden Raid.

You also have to remember a key player in this is Assad. He is an evil man, but someone I think who for the time should remain in power. He is ruthless enough to take out ISIS or Daesh. We should have learned our lesson with Saddam. Yes he was a bad man and a pain in the a$$ BUT he held a tight grip on Iraq and what's going on there now wouldn't be happening with him in power.

If the countries for now united behind Assad we could probably tip the scales in our fight against ISIS. Even all of our enemies like Iran and Hezbollah see the dangers of ISIS and are fighting against them, which is something we can use to our favor.

So far the people Donald Trump has picked to be his staff members suggest we are going to take the fight to ISIS in a major way. Every one of his picks so far have been very outspoken about going after ISIS and I will be very surprised if we don't have the head of Al-Baghdadi under his watch. I am not saying this because I am a Trump supporter but because he has proven time and again he is not a man to under estimate, someone not to mess with and a man that doesn't lose and surrounds himself with some of the best people. He respects our military and it's leadership and will rely on and trust them.

This is a man I have a lot of respect for and was a very smart choice for President Elect Trump to nominate. If you look into his background he is a true hero.
