Now on a positive note... I used to go stay with my grandparents on my dad's side for a week or two in the summer. They would take my brother and I to the pool almost every day. Water parks, amusement parks, zoo, museums, statue of liberty, monument and so on. Gram was a master desert maker pastry baker chef.

the music was great
also , landlines that required people to live their lives and have personal interactions and, ironically the absence of so many internet 'sources' and the massive amounts of misinformation it added to an already suspicious and confusing world and the absence of so much cable 'junk' tv, broadcast tv with more family considerate programming the absence of so much promotion of alternate 'genders' and lifestyles |

mine would be enjoying good old fashioned company of real people...not that many distractions back then no need for multitasking too lol hair metal bands is the only good thing that cane out of the 80s |
