Along the lines of EyeAm, with surprise twists in a relationship:

what if you were completely in love with a person, their family, their friends and their personality and knew they were an actor/actress

but came to find out that they 'acted' in adult movies,,,,would that kill the romance? would you ask more questions before deciding or would it be an instant finalization?

Um, yes I do believe that would kill the moment.

Be like dating a gynecologist.

lol aww

I see the disease potential is an issue here,,

what if I revise the scenario with the detail that the person always uses 'safe sex' in their films?

still a no go?

Everyone has a past. My concern would be that they are not doing adult movies currently.

Obviously before this knowledge, they seemed to be a great fit. Have they changed now that you know something about their past? Are they now cheating scum because of a past decision? What about a normal movie and they have a steamy love moment? Can you handle seeing them kiss another person passionatly for a film? They are an actress/actor, so I would have to assume there will be a time in the future where clothes are removed to a certain degree and sexual portral for a job will happen.... Are you okay with that? If not, move on as an actress/actor is not for you...

My two cents...

At least they would know what they were doing because they have quite literally been there, done that and got the (stained) T-shirt.

As for me personally and what it would do to my relationship with them, I would still be their friend. As for the possibility of sex that wouldn't happen even if they were a Hollywood A-lister. I haven't done it in over ten years and don't plan on doing it ever again with anyone regardless of who they are.

comes down to personal choice. I suppose some would have no issue with it.

You would just have to cut her some slack after gang bang Wednesday... she will be tired and will just want to relax after a LONG HARD day at work

If in a serious relationship, past do not need to matter, here are a lots of members, whether in private or public, must likely, they perform plenty of intercourse. Now, the present is what matters and intercourse in a monogamous form is what I deeply believe. Last point, the person performing for porno need to be tested, mainly for his/her own health first, the the health of others.

No, I'd be out of that relationship. Not for me. It's not just about the unsafe sex issue. I can't imagine that there are too many guys that would be ok knowing their girlfriend/wife had sex (even fake) on film that can be viewed by thousands, or more, people. I would not want to date a man from adult movies for those reasons, even it was his past.

I am confident that I could not possibly come to be "completely in love with" anyone, without discovering that they are a porn star in the process.

Not everyone who acts in adult films, performs sex acts with the other actors, though. I wouldn't have anything against them because they were in adult films, but I would have no interest in emotional involvement with someone who was having sex with other people.

I could be good friends with such a person, I have nothing philosophically against it. I just know myself very well, and know that I am the cleave only unto each other sort of person.

A jobs a job tbh. We're out here one way or another doing something we don't necessarily like to do but we have to do. If the person in question is acting in adult as a means of employment then it's not my place to pass judgement hoooooowever if I were uncomfortable with this newly found truth I can only express this and encourage a change of profession.

I was in Amsterdam early this year where they have legalized prostitution and funny enough the stats show that 80% of the women working at the red light district are married... just goes to show

Well, from my point of view, the issue would be is that life over?

Certainly having sex wouldn't be a problem for her; in fact she (former porn actress) would undoubtedly have had sex in ways I haven't even thought of yet.

The issue, I think, would be how she regarded sex with me; would it be just another scene to get through?

Would it be her having to put up with a guy not up to her previous partners?

I wouldn't say no to a woman with this past career because it might be interesting from a physical point of view.

But I'd certainly be a bit cautious, in terms of a permanent relationship, because it might be like being with a former heroin user in that the activity is still on her mind.

Interesting question; did you ask it because you're dealing with this situation?
