I miss the days when people spoke face to face over their grievances

I do not get the culture(twitter) where people post all their personal beefs with another person to the whole wide internet world,,,,

every week its another 'twitter feud' with grown people,,,,,seriously?

People are calling out 'snowflakes' on college campuses but what do we expect when as a culture, we have grown people on the internet whining and arguing over every little thing?

(not talking about public debate but PERSONAL one on one grievances)

saying any vile thing in the name of 'just being honest' and 'not being pc'

everybody feels they should be heard, why shouldn't college kids feel the same?

We lead by example, and many of our 'grown ups' aren't setting very good ones,,,

People are calling out 'snowflakes' on college campuses but what do we expect when as a culture, we have grown people on the internet whining and arguing over every little thing?

We expect "snowflakes" to go online and whine and argue in their part of the internet like everyone else, rather than demand safe spaces, things that cost money, and interfere with people in the "real" world.

everybody feels they should be heard, why shouldn't college kids feel the same?

Difference between wanting to be heard, feeling they should be heard, and demanding a right, feeling entitled, to be heard validated by some kind of change.

We lead by example, and many of our 'grown ups' aren't setting very good ones,,,

Grown ups set the example they were trained to set by the grown ups that set examples for them. A reciprocating cycle, interpreted through individual bias.

A "good" example is not guaranteed to get "good" results or to not have negative consequences.

I agree that social media is a terrible place to solve a personal issue.

I don't think people should fight on Twitter or Facebook or any other social media.

I am a bit old fashioned, however, so it seems to be the way of it now days.

I don't twitter/tweet at all - tried it once and hated it.

Face to face or at the very least, a phone call to discuss an issue privately, and resolve as best you can.

If I have a grievance that needs addressing with someone. I make it known to them only. Of course I'm not someone who uses social media platforms such as Twitter or Facebook.

I don't twitter ... and do not ...which I don't believe...
on my fB... I share posts or make one myself ...
I don't argue ... least don't think I do ... they know they can turn off my notification ... if they don't want to see them ... but does not mean ...I am not their friend or family anymore ...

I'm not sure.

From as early in my life as I can remember, and I can remember a LOT, I have been frustrated that so many people in the world, utterly fail to themselves, live up to, or give active support to the wonderful principles that so many of them paid lip service to.

That has gotten worse with the advent of so-called social media, because in my younger days, most people who got to express themselves on a national or international stage, had to accomplish fairly significant things, before being allowed to do so.

The thing is, I don't know that it's so much that people overall have gotten worse, so much as it is that now we have to put up with EVERYONE dumping their thoughtlessness into the internet.

It's made even more unpleasant, because there is active support for Amorality from the people who do the most posturing about people they criticize.
