I know it sounds a bit macob..but..
It's a tricky one ... so what's it going to be laying in the box or standing over the Box..hmmm..

I agree, like in that movie with James Garner (can't remember the name) they died together.

Haha, I wouldn't want either to go first. In the movie, it was very romantic, they both just went to sleep.

In real life, I would want it to be the same way.

quick question if you could pick who dies first yourself or your spouse which would it be..

If I had the power to pick I would marry rich women (or maybe gay dudes), stick a gun in my mouth and say "Okay, if they don't die in the next couple of seconds I'm going to be the one that dies first, but that would upset the balance of the universe because I picked them to die first and you gave me that power, so you better hurry up."

Then I would remarry as quickly as possible so I have a new spouse and couldn't die before them until I picked them to.

That's easy, I'd choose that they died first. They wouldn't be lonely and I could play golf anytime it took my fancy pitchfork

This question makes me think of a Meatloaf song.

Well I must say it is a weird query
Speaking as a widow...I'm happy to still be here on earth...and glad we did not 'go together'...
yawn

Had a neighbor
A real Lil Napolean.
Control freak extrordinaire.
When his health was failing, he told his wife,
He would kill her before he died.
Said, then she wouldn't have to go on without him.

She's done quite well, since he was planted.

That sounds like my father. He told his current partner that if she ever tried to leave him, he'd kill her and himself. Control freaks thrive on holding other people back, stopping other's progression and leeching.

Macabre happens to be somewhat in my wheelhouse.

Since I plan on being cremated, there won't be anyone standing over a coffin. Although I'll hope either one of my friends, or a family member will scatter my ashes as I have instructed in my will.

I would have wanted to go first but sadly, my husband beat me to it. :(

oops
I've just realised, I was thinking who goes first as in the way our ethnically challenged brothers do (she walks 10 paces behind him slaphead
Totally different view now
In that case, I'm tempted to say me, but am I being selfish so I don't have to go through the heartache of the loss? rofl
