The cross is a representation of an ancient Roman torture and execution device with a name plate on top.

It has nothing to do with love.

Long before the cross was the 'T', which from memory was a symbol representing Tammuz the great hunter, from much earlier times, maybe Sumeria-Mesopotamia era.

All this cross, god, religion stuff originated in the middle east long before the Abrahamic fictions. Then sharletans cherry picked the bits of the ancient religions they wanted, to make a new creation story and 'writings', making a new 'religion', self justified to kill off any opposition, in the name of a loving but jealous god. That is not love, and has nothing to do with love. pitchfork

The pre-cross T was Nimrod's symbol, not Tammuz.

The cross also represents a chiasma, or change. Re. passing from getting colder to getting warmer.

But mainly it is the line drawn across time, at the middle eastern northern hemisphere winter solstice, when Chronos - Old Man Time, and assorted others, symbolically die, and stay dead for usually 2 or 3 days, and then are re-born, to grow stronger as winter fades to spring, and the sun rises higher in the sky.
The SUN (son) is reborn, and at the next winter solstice, dies on the cross again, to be reborn again.

It's symbology, based on celestial movements, which is also called 'pagan', and ridiculed by 'religions'. Hypocracy abounds.

History has to happen before it can be written about, otherwise you’re predicting the future.
