For real. Who doesn't drive with there kids on there lap at some point or another. && If she was a normal person and not a star she wouldn't get a photo of her taken with no underwear on. If the press weren't around as much she wouldn't look so bad to everyone. && No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes.

I NEVER drove with my kids on my lap. Are you saying you do?

I've done it with my nephew going through drive thrus. Does that make me a bad Aunt. I would never actually do it on a road however.

I watched her on the news this morning. She makes her bed. She is royal screw up. I would so worry about them in her care. She cannot even follow rules. Missing court dates, drinking around her kids. Doing drugs.

The cops were all over her today. She was holding her kids away from the law and Kevin. If she cannot play by the rules, she will lose.

I truly am afraid she is going to lose it and she could be a danger to her kids.

I don't know of any responsible adult that would drive with their child on their lap.

I support Britney Spears, and I believe she is a good mother. She lost custody of her children and has no visitation at the moment. Do you think she should have lost custody? Kevin Federline has sole custody of Jayden James as well as Sean Preston. I believe he would not want custody of them if there wasn't money that came along with them every month.

This breaks my heart. Especially to see her get no visitation.brokenheart

Are we talking about the same Britney Spears who gets photographed with no underwear, shaves her head, drives under the influence, beats cars with umbrellas and drives with her kids on her lap? Just checking.

The thing that disturbs me the most about the entire thing, both on here, and in the media, is that everyone is very quick to jump all over her for being a bad mother (we're not disputing what she's done), and then point and laugh because she's Britney Spears. The press got their money shoving her up on a pedestal and now they are doing the same throwing her off.

For God's sakes, the woman needs help! It's pretty damn clear she's going through a **** load of psychological problems.

Are her kids suffering? Yes. Should she currently have responsibility over them? No. But she IS still a person, and she doesn't deserve to be ridiculed.

I assume nobody pointing fingers has ever come anywhere near a mental breakdown?

</end rant>

she gets ridiculed because she does everything PUBLICLY. if she would seek help and stay with it, she'd probably regain some respect from america. as is, she's a nut who needs to be locked up for everyone's protection

who in here hasn't been near a mental breakdown?

YES. you shouldn't be allowed to have children in your car. Tell me...did you actually unbuckle them and put them on your lap to take them thru the drive thru? what sense would that make?

When my son was a small toddler, I would never ever have considered letting him ride on my lap when I was driving. I valued his safety a hell of a lot more than Britany-God's gift to men-Spears valued her child's! She loves the spotlight and the attention she is getting. I don't know if she is a good mother or not, at least on how she would raise the kids, but until she has a reality check and her lifestyle changes to one that would make the judge reconsider, she better get used to her ex having the children and not her!

Did you perhaps think that maybe it's in public because the media are always in her face?

Did you ever consider that being a 'nut' would imply one doesn't have the capacity to be rational, and therefore it's not exactly logical she would seek help?

Your argument is a little circular.

she puts herself in situations where the media can see her.

you know, she must be damn crazy if she can't recognize that just one of her nutty behaviors is abnormal. well, crazy and brain dead.

i don't think her insanity is a good defense

She likely is crazy, at least by common definition, which is the entire point. How could a person who is crazy recognise their own crazy behaviour in any sort of non-crazy way?

huh

I'm not sure if you're understanding the notion of being 'abnormal','crazy', 'nut job'...whatever else you want to label it.

By definition, reality is skewed, logic has been thrown out of the window with the bath water, and the person is incapable of making decisions, let alone being responsible for themselves.

Hence lockdown.

Therefore, to follow on, if she recognises she is crazy, in her crazy capacity, then her percpection of it can't be trusted.

I'm giving myself a headache.

The world can tell me Nicole Richie is the greatest thing since sliced bread and I'm not about to believe it.

I'm sure Britney has some notion that she's out of control, but there's a world of difference between knowing it, and making that connection to getting help, or doing something about it herself.

But for the record, before I head on out of here, whether she's crazy or not, or ends up without her kids for good, it's not really where my interest is.

I just find the reactions to it all fascinating.

Cheers for the discussion!
