then i guess you think things are fine the way they are try writing in the person you want send the message abstaining from voting without a space for it on the ballot means (to them) you are ok with things as they are so if you don't vote ---- don't ***** Sorry I thought here in the United States we had the freedom of speech, among other freedoms...don't tell someone that their complaint is less valid based on whether or not they vote, I don't wear flip flops but I can complain about them all day as is the way with the president...I don't need to vote to express my opinion on the situation. if you do nothing to make things the way you think they should be like vote if you do not like the way the govt is b n run then you have no complaint complaining about the gov when not voting is like complaining about b n broke when refusing to work when its offered just a thought but hey what do i know I know the freedom of speech thing, but I feel the same about voting. If you do not exercise your given right to make a change then what does your opinion amount to? Everyone needs to vote and then this countries foundation of democracy will work like it is supposed to. It is because half of us do not vote that the control of our government is big business. You can bet your bottom dollar that those rich folks vote faithfully. They do not want to lose control of the government. |

Like I said, when I lived in Utah I had my congressman's address and would mail him if something needed to be looked at. Typically this worked, and dare I say a lot better than voting a "for the people" president. Now I live in Illinois, don't know the congressman's address here

Well I would vote if every election didn't turn into a "miscount" situation, which leads me to believe that either the count is done by people that can't in fact count at all...or that it is crooked, personally I lean more towards crooked as I can't imagine that many people who would be put on counting votes whom couldn't count. Actions in this country affect everyone, we don't all try to change these decisions by voting. Personally I take it to my congressman if it is that serious of an issue (as I've done numerous times in the past), personally I believe more gets done that way then voting in a "I will be good for the people" president. Kudos. It amazes me how many people don't utilize their Congressperson. you won't vote but you will expect them to do your bidding interesting concept |

Would someone who voted for the eventual loser also be expected not to ask the winning congressperson to act in accordance with their opinion? |
