My original posting still stands. Vets are not as expensive as you think. Look in the phone book, call around in the morn for a walk in.

It is infected...

Just a clue bro...

before you choose your pic to up load...
beneath where it says.."choose file"..there is a size option...
try a smaller size..that way it doesn't eliminate text.

Bro, I have had old animals..that is an old cat.
(you can tell by the fracture lines and age discoloration of the teeth.)
I am glad it isn't in pain...cause that sh*t looks painful.

If the cat will sit still for it...I would lance that abscess
...go to your local farm and ranch store...you can get 7-in one or 11-in one innoculations for less than $20.
Not only does it vaccinate them but, the 11-in one also provides anti biotics.
It can be injected in a loose fold of skin ..(slow absorbption rate)
or inter-muscular..
(Fast absorbtion rate but, animals don't really dig having a big assed needle jabbed into thier thighs.)

If you cant afford care for a pet, you shouldnt adopt one.

Yeah. Mayhem's right-

Owning a pet is a pretty major responsibility. It's not like going to the pet store and getting yourself some goldfish or something- there's a number of things you have to do to ensure its health, including vaccinations, and medical care.

If you can't hack owning a pet, then you probably shouldn't go about trying to adopt one as you're bound to cause nothing but problems.
