 I was at the original Woodstock almost 40 years ago
 i am soo excited cause i get to fly back there
 & visit my old stomping grounds very soon !!!
I'm going to see old friends & family  & maybe even attend some Woodstock Reunions
 I read that about a half a million people were actually there
 but a million and a half say they were there
 well, i was one who really & truly was there
and Santana was my favorite band as they rocked the countryside
certainly there must be many people here who were also there
they had a 40 year celebration of the <<<summer of love >>>

 two years ago in the Golden Gate Park
but this is the actual 40th year anniversary

I saw him at my high school football stadium in the summer of 68
along with Blind Faith featuring Eric Clapton that summer
and the Doors too , just before their last concert
 where Jim Morrison was arrested by jealous cops
ohhhh , i'm getting old but still young at heart
and not too old for rock and roll
I arrived in the middle of the day on Saturday
so i missed friday night's show 
& i believe that Hendrix played on Friday Night
the streets and the highways were blocked off
and we had to hike for miles to get to the festival
my hair was very long then too and i got it caught 
in barbed wire fencing trying to cross cattle guards and stuff
and i was tripping on LSD & it seemed to take forever
for my friends to get my hair free from the metal barbs
so we arrived late, and we had no tickets
but we saw lots of bands including Jefferson Airplane & the Who
ShaNaNa & many bands whose names i cannot remember for the life of me
