Too many guys give me their phone# and email on very first message. I never ever call or write. Usually they want to text. How much can you say in a text to a complete stranger? I'd rather send messages for at least a little while. In a message, you have the freedom to write as much as you'd like, without blowing up a phone, or at any hour of the day without distraction. When they log in or check their email, they'll get it. My worry is that with text messaging, you only limit yourself. So, why unless you have gotten to know the person already?

i get enough spam in my email and mail box , i dont want it on my cell as well(all ready get enough from computers calling me) <face palm> its one thing if we have been chatting for a while and i get an idea about the person but if they go right away want my cell or email its a big turn off smells to much of scammer funny how fast i can get rid of someone emailing me just by saying i would never send money lol catch me if you can : ) The computers calling at least say "Okay, I understand your hesitance. But, if you just listen to the deal -" To which I say, "Please, don't call me anymore." And then "Alright, you got it. Have a nice day!" But if it's a scammer, I doubt it will play out that way!
