To create jobs, and boost this country into a new industrial revolution, we need more than talk of change. We need new ideas and open minds. We need to create jobs, and adjust the economy. Well...this is just one mind, with one new idea. The U.S.A needs to legalize and produce, marijuana and Hemp.
If you think it won't work or you don't believe me, read the facts below, and remove your government issued blindfold. Hemp is one of the purest, most complete plants on Earth. Its uses are many and varied; of particular value to humans are the nutritional and healing properties of Hemp seed and its oil. 1.Hemp grows almost anywhere and requires no pesticides or fertiliser. The plant is good both for the soil and the atmosphere. 2.The potential for Hemp is vast - including sustainable bio-mass (power) and bio-diesel (fuel). 3.Hemp also makes an excellent source of textile and paper. The fibres are long and very strong, making the most beautiful fabric and paper. Many of the world's most famous historical works are written on hemp paper. 4.Hemp seed oil is extracted from raw hemp seed and contains a fully balanced spectrum of essential fatty acids. When processed and stored correctly, the beneficial properties of the oil can be readily absorbed by the skin. Hemp seed oil is noted for these benefits: Superb moisturiser, natural anti-inflammatory Rare source of gamma-linoleic acid Protects from UV radiation and pollution Assists healing, soothes acne Prevents and repairs hair damage Treats eczema and psoriasis Rich in anti-oxidants 5.Medical Use "The evidence is overwhelming that marijuana can relieve certain types of pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms caused by such illnesses as multiple sclerosis, cancer and AIDS -- or by the harsh drugs sometimes used to treat them. And it can do so with remarkable safety. Indeed, marijuana is less toxic than many of the drugs that physicians prescribe every day." -- Joycelyn Elders, MD Former US Surgeon General Editorial, Providence Journal Mar. 26, 2004 "The American Public Health Association: 1.Encourages research of the therapeutic properties of various cannabinoids and combinations of cannabinoids 2.Encourages research on alternative methods of administration to decrease the harmful effects related to smoking; and 3.Urges the Administration and Congress to move expeditiously to make cannabis available as a legal medicine where shown to be safe and effective and to immediately allow access to therapeutic cannabis through the Investigational New Drug Program." -- American Public Health Association Medical Marijuana Policy Statement Jan. 1995 "Patients receiving cannabinoids [smoked marijuana and marijuana pills] had improved immune function compared with those receiving placebo. They also gained about 4 pounds more on average than those patients receiving placebo." -- Donald Abrams, MD, et al. "Short-Term Effects of Cannabinoids in Patients with HIV-1 Infection," Annals of Internal Medicine Aug. 19, 2003 If that blindfold is still tied tight, check out these links, for a guided tour through truth land. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemp http://www.wamm.org/medicinalbenefits.htm |
