Listen, dude, Let me tell you like it really is. Don't expect anything great or grand. It's not going to happen. I've been on dating sites off and on for close to ten years. I've seen a lot. The first thing you need to know, Dating sites do not cater to men at all. Dating sites are a woman's playground. The only chance you have of getting anywhere is by setting yourself apart from the rest. Women on dating sites get bunches of messages every day. If you want a woman to single you out from the rest, then you have to make yourself stand out. And that is in everything. How you write. How you dress. How you present yourself in your profile, Your pictures. Everything. Be a little picky. Be respectful. No matter if you get ignored. Which is what's going to happen 98% of the time. If you are a man on a dating site, you have to have a tough skin. You can't let it get to you. Take your time. Pick wisely. I agree with all of the above. With my location I wouldn't say I get 'bunches of messages every day' but there were plenty before I set my filters. I would also encourage people to not let filters put you off. If you fall inside the ranges then be encouraged, you are already half way there with regards what she is looking for. Plus the fact that there are filters in place goes some way to proving she is real. Also on another note- telling a woman she is the only one her age for miles around is not a compliment. I had one guy tell me that, my response, thanks a lot, so you didn't actually choose me, you contacted me out of desperation? What about the other guys who contacted me, was it the same? Basically, I don't care what my competition is, if I chat to you, it's because I like the look of your profile, not because I want to represent my gender and age group in my area. |
