My parents had no problem with me wanting to go into the Navy. My dad was ROTC in college. Only he had to transfer to complete his degree and the second school didn't have the program. Both my grandfathers served in the military. Let her do it. Doesn't mean she will end up in the sandbox. She could end up in Japan. She could have a wonderful opportunity to go someplace she might not otherwise get to visit. ... hey, what's wrong in playing in the sandbox ... it's fun you can build lots of sandcastles!!!

well i got a phone call and my daughter wants to join the navy.i am lost for words.i dont know what to tell her.she is 19 and it is her life.omg what a thing to wake up to.  I joined the Marine Corps (Infantry) in high school... big shocker to my parents  LMAO!!! but I came out ok and I'm sure you're daughter will do fine, if she decides to go in
