Myriad of "Ancient" Emotions

I was wondering about stories of how people have laughed or cried in reaction to stories of their ancestors.
I Freakin KNOW I am not alone! Mine is from a Guardian Angel Grandmother I never knew who passed away in 1942. My curiosity is about the abstract emotion that I am sure that I am not alone in. Just looking for other perspectives to perhaps help me understand my laughter and tears. |

There are choice few whom remember that there was such a thing as "The Golden Era" here.
Artgurl....Sherrie.....You were one of the few that ever made sense of the gold metaphor Your words were Art without judgement; advice without condescension, help without beholding. One of the truest and most altruistic persons I have ever had the honor of knowing. |

I really dislike schedules - Adulting, Oh Well.
I am mixed on signs. Instinctive to instinct and a "few" of the hippy dippy ones The tangible ones sometimes I read the wrong way. SO glad in Europe I took public transportation or had a ride. ...and have not even been to where they drive on the "wrong" side of the road. Differences? Opinions? Reactions? |

I have never met a phor that I didn't like. It can grow anywhere. I particularly like them when they break through the ice! |

Mowtown - Some of your taste is stellar. Some of the rest is questionable. Glad to share those qualities with you!...and probably the best course of action
Jaan- I agree with point 1 & 2 fervently! Not sure I understand point 3. Disagree with 4. Look at yours and Mowtown's Post (to Tech's Post) Tech- ^^^ Maybe a bit patronizing but I "really" like to call out folks that make me snicker to belly laugh. I am so sorry!!.. if I come across that way!!! I am someone who enjoys everything from the most sophomoric and dirty of Limericks to the brilliance of Rumi, and Shakespeare Sonnets. I look for the positive and am NO ONE to judge where ANYONE fits in that spectrum. Not remembering any specifics but a general feeling of "that was pretty cool" Blondey- Whoa, the little Stepford Wife type speaks up? I know when/if anyone was cruel to animals, trying to kill love/the sun, or pollute the ocean; you'll be there (with a machete). However, Surfers are stupid like that.----Just let that last statement go Man
EDIT: What Matters? I think animals, sunsets, poetry (The Arts in general), cake, travel, etc. do....but does my opinion on any of it? |

My Cousin said (of course online), Gawd! I HATE The Beatles!"
I rarely gasp. I GASPED! My blood boiled with possible reactions. I love my family, so I chilled and took a breath. Personal story, her prerogative, and who cares! The question is "How do you react when something goes completely against your own sensibilities? BTW.... Puppies Suck Sunsets are overrated True Love doesn't exist The Ocean is not that beautiful Poetry is boring I hate travel React with something different than "You are daft/stupid." |

Reportedly Samuel L. Jackson was considering converting to Catholicism, but saying "Superior" after "Mother" proved too difficult.

Lucky to have the Forums.
The Nudges I got from Megan Fox and Halle Berry would have transferred a lot of money from my account to Ivan Jacknoff's.

One Friday in the early days of the inter-web I was trying to answer a client in the affirmative, that I had received her electronic file. In a ready for weekend hurry I emailed “GO T!+ !!” instead of “Got it!”..........one of my more horrifying professional experiences !!!
Luckily after the longest 90 seconds EVER, her reply was, “Haha Great, and glad you are a fan. Have a nice weekend.” |

.....or I Should DUH Saids
Bit of a truth of dare. Dare: Admit what you said or wrote by not thinking things through by whatever (content, punctuation, context grammar, etc.). Truth: What you meant to say or wished you had.....even and especially if you held back ( a Boss, too harsh for situation, words were a few seconds too late, yada). These 2 definitions may be completely backwards. |
