Search for what is missing
Will it be found in blue?
Oh, who am I to decide
So I ask, what will you do?

Will you take her in your arms
Erase the mem’ries of past
Or start some new, bold and true
How long will either last?

Love is such a masterpiece
Filled with thought and time
Covering imperfections
Creations of our mind

Though each of us are different
Our goals are still the same
We paint a picture of our heart
Without fear or shame

The canvas changes over time
With colors of every hue
Which clarifies our minds eye
And imparts a brighter view

So, when will we be satisfied?
When we stand back and smile
At two heart portraits, side by side
Proving it all worthwhile

How we came into this spot
we really can't explain
and with everything so right
we can't place any blame
Seemingly unknowing
we're both searching from the core...
reaching out, trying to find
that desperate something "more".
For months we've been acquainted,
then one day you saw my eyes.
I didn't see you notice -
which took me by surprise.
I wasn't even looking
when I fell into your arms.
Magnetically, we froze,
not wanting any harm.
Yesterday was fine,
now today is such a mess.
Still I want you more and more,
neither could've guessed.
But how is it that everything
can feel so right?
When morally its wrong,
to have you in my sight.
If the others in our lives
became remotely aware
It would turn our lives upside down,
but somehow I don't care.
If this is just as real
as it truly seems to be,
Then they should go be happy
and let us go free.
From the moment that you touched me
you uncovered the pain
Told me that it's good to love,
and in it there's no shame.
Without even knowing
you reached into my core
Pulled it out, held it tight
that desperate something "more".

Its not so much
that I mind
lying
here
alone...

Its just that I
would rather
be lying
here
with you.
