Injustice and tragedies have happened before and will happen again and again to all people. What we don't need is some "activist" racist yelling "Racism" every time it happens and the media promoting him. This is irresponsible behavior and is dangerous to our country. I trust, there is nothing close to an activist yelling 'racism' EVERY TIME there is an injustice if anything, people need to be consistent in staying on top of injustice,, they dont need to back up off of it like its the flavor of the day,,,, Yes, but there seems to be only one race that does this with regularity. Injustice, like everything else is a part of life you have to accept that fact. Staying on top of it wont prevent it. Certainly yelling racism on top of it does not help or prevent it and is very polarizing. really? noone told civil rights activitsts noone expects injustice to be 'prevented' anymore than murder or theft or any other crime but that doesnt make inaction a justifiable excuse, action can and does IMPROVE things, even though it never makes them perfect,, Racism is an action that does not improve anything. no, but institutional racism can be decreased and addressed and improve many things,,,, |

How old is too old? I'd like to have kids soon as I am 25 years old. Honestly my reasoning may seem odd but I guess I just dont want to wait too much longer because I dont want to be 45 yars old chasing a 2 year old. I also dont want to be 60 by the time my child graduates. Aside from all that I know that it is also a lot moer dangerous to have children (actually carrying the child) as you get older. The opposing arguement was to stay in shape and it wont matter how old you are when you have kids. I dont believe that that is all true. I wonder if i'm just being silly....but it really does bother me a lot. I want children..... -sigh I think its best for kids to have a solid foundation with parents who can love AND support them. Some have reached that level by 25, others have not. ID think the ability to provide love and support and a solid foundation are more important than age....personally. |

I think I get what you're saying...DNA does not make your dad your dad, the relationship the two of you share is what makes him your dad....However DNA does determine if he is in "fact" your biological father...... I thought MsHarmony was saying that facts are true whether are not we personally have evidence to support the fact. I thought her point was that faith and facts are not opposites - indeed we must, every time we believe in something without evidence, have faith in it. And I feel that you, Leigh, are introducing a cool new semantic twist, which is: differentiating between an father defined by feelings and relationships, and father defined by genetics.

Yeah, the parents want justice. All the people Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton got whipped up want justice. This is just going to justify more racial animosity and there are two dirt bags who pretend to be civil leaders who are going to inflame this more with their racially charged rhetoric. This is going to get epically out of control again. And for what? Some ill perceived notion of justice? No, the parents expect legal revenge! I disagree. All they asked for was justice for their son. The protests and pressure has diminished greatly since the prosecutor pressed charges and set in motion a PROCESS By which their sons death could be taken more seriously and reviewed more extensively. |
