Do I know you?
Haven't I seen you before?
Your lies
Your chaos
Your damage

Yet I see your brokenness
Your abundant faith
Your beautiful mind
And your vast potential

Yes, I do know you
I know that I will love you
Because
I always
Do

Once again, I can relate to this. I love how raw and open you are with your pain. It's like I'm a voyer, viewing the inner most parts of your heart, feeling your pain with you. Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse into your beautiful heart.

Why did you leave me
Knowing she was like that
Abandoning me to her craziness
To wounds that never heal
and a life full of pain?

brand new to the site, I am trying to filer the radius of my search and it won't accept my zip code and it is giving me men out of state. What's the fix?

I'm having the same trouble. Let me know if you figure it out.

..awww.. thank you for the compliment.. but honestly I just put down on the LCD.. what I'm feeling deep within me..... sometimes I have to drag it out of me kicking and screaming... but whatever the process..
All good..wink

She's been caught
I her own fault
She should have known better
After all, she's a young lady now

She remembered the last time
The last time she had been caught

O, how it hurt
That cold metal buckle
Striking the soft skin
between her shoulder blades

The light weight baby doll
Offering no protective barrier
From the burning sting
The pain of those repeated blows

She thought, "how can I do this again?
How can I endure it?
So
She ran

Another great poem. I love your honesty, and I understand how the well-being of our children can motivate us to heal. I do hope your better day comes soon.

I see the pain in their eyes
At how I left them wounded
Bleeding, broken
A damaged mess
And I chose it
You never required it of me
Yet I chose it anyway
I sacrificed them
I sacrificed my children
On the altar
Of a Christian marriage
I'm so sorry

Passion
Talent
Wonder
Longing
Soaring
Becomes
Shackles
Despair
Time Passed
Regret
And Mourning
A Dream Has Died

Sad, yet beautiful. Reminded me of one of my own sad times. Thanks for being so open about a painful time in your life and allowing us to peak in and identify with you.

Thank you. I wrote this during my healing journey in 2015 as I traveled in my minivan. I spent 2 months camping and cycling in Central FL. I love it down there.

Her voice? She had no voice. She didn't speak often, but on those rare occasions when she did speak, no one heard. No one care about what she might say, neither her thoughts nor her dreams. so she spoke less and less. until one day her voice was gone, and her dreams were dead. Yet there was still hope. There was still love, and the light of love restored her lost voice. Her dreams soared on wings like eagles, and she sang with her new voice, a new song.
