The Windows System Restore only works if you have it set to create recent checkpoints. In addition, many manufacturers use a system restore function that will restore the computer to its original state. If you don't have a knowledge of the system, the only safe bet is to have a professional look at it, or use an undelete utility.

That said, sure, the system restore might do what you want, but unless you know what you're doing, it's not worth the chance.

Thanks...too late... bigsmile

Does anyone know what the purpose/function of the "System Restore" feature on my computer is for?

I accidentally deleted a file containing some pictures and videos I didn't want to delete? Will it restore those?

I'm wearing pink!!!

From the Vancouver Sun
VICTORIA - B.C. residents are being urged to wear pink to work and school Wednesday to mark what has now been proclaimed provincial anti-bullying day.

"Anti-Bullying Day is a celebration of those who take action to stop bullies in our schools and around the province," Premier Gordon Campbell said in a statement released today as he announced anti-bullying day for Wednesday.

"It starts with all of us saying bullying is wrong and then standing up for those who become targets," he added.

"We all benefit when everyone feels safe and secure in their schools, neighbourhoods and province."

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Education Minister Shirley Bond said the day will be marked by discussions and other forms of awareness raising.

"I think it's building on a trend that students across the country have said this is not acceptable, that we need to be a part of how those changes are made," she said.

As part of the awareness campaign, Bond also urged people across the province to wear pink Wednesday as a way of showing support for anti-bullying. She said the idea of wearing pink began in eastern Canada after a child was bullied for wearing a pink T-shirt to school.

"The next day two students said, 'You know what? We're going to show support for this student,' and they showed up wearing pink, and it just multiplied," she said.

"We're pushing to make sure British Columbia is a sea of pink on Wednesday," she added.

Bond also urged people to become more aware of the problem, and to think about what they can do to help find solutions.

"We can put all the programs we want into place but until each one of us takes responsible for our behaviour, and certainly not condoning or supporting bullying behaviour, it's going to be difficult to make changes," she said.

"I'm really proud of students in this province and across the country who have said we want this to stop.")
