It might be easier to define it as a set of beliefs, ideas, values, feelings or thoughts common to individuals or groups of people which may or may not centre around a deistic figure or figures.

No peace before victory.

Peace without victory becomes a prison.

Man is made to wrestle with his inner demons.

Pick a struggle, when he overcomes his struggles
he finds lasting peace.

Initially to get viewing numbers for my short stories on the creative writing and poetry section, since a lot of specialist writing sites don't have the ticker numbers. I cooled off from that, mostly now I might respond to the odd post that interests me. Probably take those short stories else where, mingle definitely is a forum post and article commentary community site.

That sounds really strange to me because in the back of my mind I'm thinking the US for instance is owned and run by the largest racial group at 72% of the total population, that's 250 million of you regionally!. That population is white, who actually own and run the country, and who's institutes are historically white. To me that would be like saying your the owner of your own company and you now feel alienated in your own company. That doesn't sound statically plausible, and just goes against my logic. If you created that world, then your the God of it simple.

How would that 72% majority all of a sudden start feeling marginalised in their own country, company and home?

Education comes from the Latin word 'educe' which means to 'draw out', I presume this means from within.(I got from dictionary)

Wisdom, comes from the word to 'see'.(Also dictionary)

Knowledge, what that society actually knows, content.(My opinion)

Understanding, the context and setting for that knowledge, foresight, hindsight, insight etc.(My opinion)

All information has use, but not all information is useful(personal).(My opinion)

Mostly an educational system is just going to reflect the needs of the society it's in. The society is going to determine what it needs and wants and manufactures it's youth accordingly. I know that sounds mechanical, but the purpose of such institutes is to pass on knowledge and development of that society to the next generation. Hopefully in a way that is evolutionary with the surrounding dynamics and environments that society finds itself in. Therefore education is a fluid and dynamic term, not fixed.

An educational system best acts in it's own interest for growth, development, self preservation and evolution. It's intelligent, grows and adapts, and behaves a lot like a human body would, dipping backwards and forwards using a combination of memory and foresight to make sense of the constantly changing world that is going on around it (us). And give the host the best chance for thrive-ability or survivability over probability now and in the future.

You have probably increased in muscle mass due to increased usage of your leg muscles. Make sure you get balanced exercise for all your body so that you don't look disproportionate in your overall appearance.

Increased exercise increases muscle density, mass and tone.
Fat usually decreases with even exercise over time.
Water weight decreases through exercise dehydration, but increases again after rehydration, so water weight fluctuates.

Used to do a lot of running and other exercise, the thing is with the body your always playing a game of balances, anything you change physically affects everything else. More exercise, you need more water, more protein for your muscles, increased sugars for energy, so on and so forth, depending on the type of activity your doing.

It's been a good marathon (If they don't let it get too long and tiring), if its ends on this note '7th season', and it should end on that note, and they don't ruin it with future sequels and prequels it'll go down as one of the most epic TV series of all time.

Hopefully they won't butcher it like 'the walking dead', I just lost interest in that around 4th 5th season I can't remember, ridiculous rollover plots and stories.

season 8 is the last...i think every one will die... maybe not Arya, tho...

Sorry, my error, season 8, it should definitely end with season 8.

I hate to say it but internet networks mapped out might actually look a lot like bacteria spreading and growing in a petri dish. The same way town and cities can sprawl across a landscape.

Scientists found a lot of bacterial colonies had their own way of communicating with one another and connecting over their own version of vast distances in their world of sizes and scales. Originally the scientists thought all the colonies behaved separately and distinctly until they realised they were all behaving as though they were connected, even in separate petri dishes. Freaky.

I remember way back in the day when Microsoft asked me
"Where Do You Want To Go Today?"
everytime I turned my computer on.

So I tuned to different 'channels' to see what is out there...

Welcome to Principia Cybernetica Web
http://pespmc1.vub.ac.be/

Principia Cybernetica tries to tackle age-old philosophical questions with the help of the most recent cybernetic theories and technologies.

This is the website of the Principia Cybernetica Project (PCP), an international organization. The Project aims to develop a complete philosophy or "world-view", based on the principles of evolutionary cybernetics, and supported by collaborative computer technologies. To get started, there is an introduction with background and motivation, and an overview, summarizing the project as a whole.

Main subjects

Theory
our theoretical results, including epistemology, metaphysics, ethics, concepts, principles, memetics, and the history and future of evolution.

Organization
details the people, conferences, publications, ways of participating, newsletter and the mailing lists part of PCP.

R&D
our algorithms, experiments and applications to develop distributed, self-organizing, knowledge networks, inspired by the "Global Brain" metaphor

Reference
background material collected by us, including an electronic library with free books, a web dictionary, related websites, and info about cybernetics and systems theory, such as bibliographies, associations, and journals.

Navigation
tools to help you to quickly find your way around our over two thousand pages, such as the Recent Changes, Search, Table of Contents, and Index, plus general information about this website and how to use it.

Other Info
this server also hosts some pages that are not part of PCP: the Association for the Foundations of Science, Language and Cognition (AFOS), and Belgium: Overview

Reminds me of hitch hikers guide to the galaxy, where the global net is like a great big computational brain trying to work out all life's deepest questions and meanings. Perhaps vast organic networks are a natural thing over time.

We were always told it was originally a project management exercise in 'cellular network communication', if one unit was ever knocked out, it didn't affect the rest of the network and was originally thought up and created by the military. It later got took over primarily by university professors and academia, then it grew socially among the masses, and the rest as you know is history. In a lot of ways the world wide web has caused a kind of information revolution across the globe.

Would be interesting just how much knowledge most of us would have retained if the internet ever went down completely?

I couldn't say, but one thing I did learn on my journey of learning with the net, I of my self know next to nothing, and all my knowledge really is built up and dependant on the knowledge from others.

Okay ladies and gentlemen it's been brought to my attention that some women have noticed a decline in chivalry..
Men that no longer open their door for them or carry the heavy bags home..
Pull out the chair at the dining table for her..
Lend her your hand when stepping over the curb...

So guys are you guilty of being without chivalry... and ladies have you noticed the decline in gentlemen being gentlemen..

Carry home her bags, more like exit left when she see's me at the traffic light, cross the road anyone? 'chuckle' And she's right for doing that, who can trust anybody nowadays.
If I tried to do that for some strange woman, she would look terrified at me as though I was going to rob her. Sorry!!! fact of life, my experiences in reality.

“Where is the one you called Hal?” they quizzed again. “I don't know” she responded. It had been weeks now since the disk had released her unharmed.

Marcus had been there the whole time, as if the object had perfectly timed it and was cognizant of his presence. It's shimmering black surface had changed to an ocean blue of shimmering waves, and then Jen emerged. She had resurfaced and floated right before his eye's. Her arms out stretched and legs together, naked and completely dry. He and the others retreived her from the top of the disk, wrapped her, and quickly put her on a stretcher and carried her away. She was asleep. Marcus then watched as the shimmering disk quickly fell apart like a large body of water flooding the cave. He dipped his finger into the pool of water that was once that strange object, it tasted like sea water.

“What was the last thing you remember?” the inquirer asked dryly again. By now they wanted to be rid of her, the inquiry lasted for weeks. Jen was all that was left of this enigma, only her testimony, and what she said she had experienced. This was of no interest to the scientists now, because nothing could be verified other than her words. No one could confirm if she really had the experiences or not. “Explain for us one more time what had happened to Hal?” a tape recorder whirled in the background, a camcorder sat perched off at a distance.

They wouldn't publish what Jen had said, because they knew all their credibility was at stake, and that their research funds and grants were at risk of being resinded. The object had gone, and Jen never went anywhere as far as the object was concerned because the other scientists never observed it leaving the cave. Jen's story was completely contrary to that, but they dared not mention it, partly to protect her, but mostly to save themselves. Here was a well respected doctor and scientist in the world who would have been branded a lunatics, mad, heretic, plain crazy or at best considered disturbed.

There was one unusual anonymaly though, Jen was a 46 year old woman, who had emerged from the disk now with the body of 16 year old teenage. She was completely clean of any and all disease and looked vibrate and young. After a few more tests. They let her go, there was nothing more to be had.

Jen had told them all she had experienced with Hal, and where he had taken her. But there was one secret she never told them, it was only something she could feel. For all their time together and their great mind connection and vast journey's across space and time, he never could understand her individuality, he was just the vastness, that was all.

Jen now sat on a hospital bed, her arms wrapped around the little bundle she held as she looked into its sparkling little eye's. “Hello Hal, now you can get to truly understand what it means to live life as a human being”.

“No!” screamed Marcus, “Dr Jen, what are you doing?!” as he jumped up and lurched towards Dr Jen, she turned her head to look at him, and that was the last thing she saw, as her naked hand sunk into a shimmering black liquid.

Darkness echoed, shimmers of darkness, sparks of light, shimmers of light, etched in the echoes of the eons. “Hello, hello,” did these words echo in Jens mind, or in this strange dark place? “Hello, hello” it echoed back, it sounded like her own voice. That wasn't a response, it was mimicking. Jen felt it was learning, “who am I?” She echoed, Jen was confused, did that come from her? “I know Who I am” she thought, the consciousness was her, but it did not know it's self. “I am Jen”, “who am I, who am I?” it echoed again, “I am Jen” she replied in her mind. It was as though her mind echoed back, “I am Jen, I am Jen” it echoed back.

“I am Jen” she thought, “we are not Jen, you are separate from me” Jen replied. It didn't understand separation, individuality. Jen knew she and it weren't one, It did not understand, it was learning. “I am not Jen?” it echoed. “You are Jen?” it echoed, “who am I?”. Jen thought, “I do not know?” she replied. “I am separate from you” it was communicating to her as one mind, but it didn't know separation, it didn't understand it. “We are not Jen” it replied. “You are Jen”. “Who am I?” it replied, it was like a child now, Jen felt it learning from her. But she knew it was far older and greater in knowing in the vastness of the cosmos, she felt it, felt something that connected her to a vastness far beyond her limited consciousness. But it was like a child in it's knowing of her.

“You do not have a name?” there was a silence in the darkness then a reply “What is a name?” It had no identification for it's individuality, Jen felt it only knew it's self as pure existence, being, holistic and un-separated ,cosmic.

Outside the disk It had been days now since the other team members watched in horror as Dr Jen fall into the disk. They rushed over to the object but it had turned solid again after quickly consuming her. Marcus breaking protocol also took off his gloves to touch the disk quickly after, but it had turned cold and hard to the touch. “Dr Jen, can you hear me, Dr Jen” as he hammered frantically on its shimmering surface.

They used every available tool at hand to try to cut or open the object, but it was impervious to everything they had with them. Not a scratch appeared on it shimmering surface. They couldn't tell if she were dead or alive.

It was strange enough the excavation team was to discover this flattened orb like enigma miles under the Earths surface in a cave. What was more frightening was what purpose it served. Why was it down there? How did it get down there? How long had it been there? And what was more disturbing than all the other questions was as far as professor Jen was concerned, how the hell had it kept levitating all these eons? It deified all their known laws of physics and it frightened every one of the teams members. It terrified Dr Jen, it just seemed unreal, beyond the edge of her minds ability to comprehend or grasp it's reality.

Yet here it was, miles under ground, in a cave no bigger than the object itself. Situated evenly in the cave, levitating, slowly rotating silently, eerily. It's surface emitted no light, but seemed to ripple and shimmer as though it were a perfect liquid black. A flattened disk shaped object about the size of a small house in diameter.

Jen looked at her notes, lights had been set up all around the cave and focused on the object. She breathed heavily through her hazmat suit. The others were busily scanning, analysing the anomaly, taking notes. Soldiers roamed nervously to and fro. The object was spinning, despite it mark-less surface, the laser spectrometers confirmed that, but besides, it omitted nothing else. No heat, no radiation, no radio waves or frequencies of any kind, it just levitated there, slowly and imperceptibly rotating.

Some one, one of the other scientists tried poking it with a solid object and was met with firm resistance, so it was solid with a liquid rippling appearing surface? There was one odd phenomena in that cave that spooked everyone, “look over here” yelled Marcus, Jen walked over, glaring through her visor, “the water, it's dripping upwards!” Jen starred in shock, “how?” she replied. A large pool of water had built up under this strange levitating disk, and water droplets were forming out of the pool and falling upward towards the ceiling of the cave.

This strange disk was mind bendingly distorting the laws of physics. Jen had this strange urge to feel it, take off her glove, to touch this strange object with her hand. She wanted to feel it with her naked palm. It beckoned to her, she felt it inside beginning to call to her. She was beginning to become absorbed by it's presence, like it was conscious some how, learning her, possessing her. Feeding beyond her rational scientific mind, it beckoned her, she wanted to go to it like it were a baby in need, as it feed on her base instincts.

At the same time it also felt like a lover, with the authority of a parent? She wrestled with these feelings, mixed emotions. Was the strange object doing this to her “It's just an object” she said to her self “it doesn't have emotion”, but it gripped her all the more, in a daze. Pulling her, she turned and starred at it, as it grew in her mind. She felt like it knew her, like being here and now somehow entwined with her destiny, 'yes' it was her destiny, she felt, she felt it had called her here, like it had called her through the eons. Jen shook her head, "I'm going crazy? I need to get out", she quickly turned and walked out of the cave.
