ok, it goes something like this . . . the girl says I'm looking for something serious I'm tired of screwing around; the guy says yeah, me too, then they talk for 8 hours over the weekend. Only, after another week, he starts getting "too busy to talk" even though he was the one who started the whole Marriage talk ie. what if this, what if that . . . yada yada yada. Plus he's supposed to be soooo honest. only when he doesn't want to talk he ignores me.

I have to agree with Msveeay. I want to be in love with someone, completely, who is completely in love with me. Otherwise, you won't be happy as a couple. I found that out the hard way. It doesn't work right if one person is completely in love with the other, who does not fully reciprocate.

ok, two things. one is general - when the person shows up for the date or you meet him for the first time, and he looks nothing like his picture (which either isn't him or is an old one)and he says, "Well, what do you think, does my picture do me justice?" At which point I'm polite and say, sure, you look nice.

The worst date - I met someone on a diff site, met him in person for a date, and before he climbed in my car, I could smell how bad he smelled - to this day I don't know if it was because he didn't shower or he was wearing clothes that needed to be washed - and then the whole date (the longest 3 hours of my life) he kept saying "Oh you smell so nice, your car smells so nice, you like things that smell nice, don't you?" I wanted so badly to say yeah, and you don't, but I didn't.

Just because I didn't want him to have the last word (LBB) - thanks everybody for the input. I have vented and I feel better. I'm not bitter, just wiser.

LivingByBeats - I hope the tail end of your comment wasn't directed at me. Yeah, I'm disgusted, but that was the point of the post - to vent. I'm not so emotionally retarded that I need to stop dating and "heal myself" first; please - I just wanted to see if my lady friends felt the same, and maybe get some feedback from some of the guys. No one is "drama free" what ever that means - most of us try to learn from our mistakes and move on, but every once in a while - you just want to know you're not the only one running into these things.

well, thanks for all the help s1owhand. I know you're right - besides, he's only here for another 2 1/2 weeks for training, then he'll be moving on. I just figured if we had hit it off, we could have continued it, but you can't continue something that never really starts :) I have a girls' night planned tomorrow night anyway, so I won't sit around feeling sorry for myself. :)

all I'm saying is it's been my experience that the guys that ask that question are very shallow and have huge egos, but no self confidence. so, if he treats you like crap, hit him where it hurts, his vanity. works every time :) lol

nervesgone - yeah. we met in person at a club last friday night. he kept hitting on me and asked my for my number at the end of the night - after he gave me his. then we text'd each other the next day, saying we'd meet sunday, which didn't work out. then he sent me a text late sunday night saying he was sorry he was busy sunday - and all week until tomorrow (friday) I responded, that's cool, sunday wouldn't have worked anyway, and I am busy all week too. didn't get another text back. it's almost friday.

And s1owhand, yeah, that would be 1 reason to text instead of talk on the phone. he's a flirt so I can see that happening.

hmmmm . . . there are so many things. really good bubble bath, from bath and body works or Sephora, yankee candles, chocolate, great kissing, great sex, hearing I'm beautiful, and good movies :)

s1owhand - thanks :) so one more question along those lines - if it's less interactive does that mean if he texts back and forth a little that he's still not sure if he likes me or he's afraid? I like texting too, but some guys are more expressive in texts than when we talk normally on the phone. And yeah, I'm not so frustrated right now anymore - I'm tired :) I just wanted to see if anyone had any similar experiences. I have my days when I feel great and I met a cute guy and it seems to be going well - and heck, I even have more great days that have nothing to do with a guy. lol :)

haha exactly Dawnette :) Yeah, that works on guys like that who ask weight. The second you turn it around and ask how long he is or how thick, or something along those lines, he'll back off. But yeah, guys like that are stupid anyway - best to never talk to him again.

I was going to say no, but then I read the "a lot" part. If you're in that situation, and the frequency is starting to bother you, then you should tell her you like her coming over, but just not every weekend or as often. Good luck with that though, it's a delicate talk.

that's usually what I do. I don't have a lot of patience, so I'm frequently deleting numbers, and when the guy calls back a month later, and says "hey, what's up," I'm thinking "who the hell is this?"
