Long ago I found a hope

My joy and passion grew each day

Both day and night we smiled

To soon did all this change
no longer did I cheer
A shadow crept upon my heart
and took what I held dear

An addicts choice that I regret
how dearly did I pay
For alone now I am living
cause your love I lost that day

Looking back upon the past
I see how I had errored
Unable to change what was
when you wondered if I cared

If only I could let you see
just how I'm torn apart
Knowing then that you would feel
the pain within my heart

I pray you will forgive me
somehow the wound will mend

Hello everyone, am fairly new to site, just thought I would drop in and say hi.

Well I didnt have high expectations coming into this, but like I said it cant hurt. I am just tired of being single, tired of the games and who knows MAYBE that special someone is out there feeling the same way and Fate will lead us both to try something we normally wouldnt...such as a site like this.

Ok, I am fairly new to this. I was hoping for some tips on how to "break the ice" as far as when you are mutually matched and just start the message/chat exchange.

I have just been sending a message saying "Hi", but wasnt sure if I should add more or wait for a response. I dont wanna be pushy but also dont want to seem as if I have nothing more to say. I guess what I am asking is what do some of you all message when you reciece a mutal match.

Feel like an idiot asking, but I really want to get the most outta this site.

Ya know it sucks to have your heart broke and to experience betrayal by someone you thought you could trust. But the past is the past and so I try to learn from it, but not be trapped by it. Thats why I am here..I am not giving up. Somewhere out there is a woman who is right for me, just gotta find her. I am in no hurry though. Maybe thats where I went wrong last time? I didnt take the time to really get to know my ex before we got intimate. I envy you Kat, or atleast I envy your ability to wait.
