These still go on trust me! However, it does depend on the lady and if that is an expectation. It has become easier to remember some of the key dates and even others with new technology - and for some ladies this is an absolute must, for others, well they prefer other things! Opening doors, picking ladies up by car, bowing to their needs always goes on still. However, sometimes you need to make sure your partner knows it is wanted and needed!
