The question is ''do you really want to move? and if yes, why do you want to leave the US?'' Every move comes with change. I'd say define your reasons of wanting to move first. It sounds like you are not ready to embrase the changes that comes with relocation. So my answer to you is remain and move within the US. That may be safe enough for you and less of a challenge.
