I don't know about Chinese, but I know it is an Indian (India) Symbol for peace. I know Indians who are quite offended that their symbol has been used by a hateful people for a hateful purpose.

I don't know about all that, maybe they shouldn't own guns, but they should still be able to vote. I know people who have been in prison for violence and they are great loving caring people who would do anything they could to help someone out. I was born and raised in a very violent environment and have been violent myself, but I love people and care about my family. I am a good person.

Why shouldn't a convicted felon who has served their time and payed their debt to society not be able to vote? Not everyone who commits a crime is a bad person. Maybe sex offenders shouldnt have the right to vote, but for the rest of felons it makes them feel as if they are no longer a citizen and brings them down even more. Not all criminals are evil; in fact most aren't.

You may all be right. It could be what it means to that person. Our own perception. But to those people who it has hurt (their ancestors were hurt) the flag still brings up bad feelings and to some who are still alive, bad memories. You can't change how those people think or feel, but you can do something to not keep that flag displayed. Who cares about history anyway (don't get me wrong I like history and know a great deal about it, I was an history major), we should focus on the now and the future. You see it there because either they (or there ancestors) are form the south. If not then they probably have it up because they are racist. I've seen one rebel flag up here (Decatur, Il.) in my 31 years and it wasnt up too long.

Yeah, I've heard all about it not being about racist, but of course it was all the political and social problems of that era were derived from slavery and the government and the north wanting to do something about it. Take the free labor away and you have a meltdown of the local economies. I would be scared too.

Exactly, I lived down in Arkansas for a period of time (horrible, I don't like the country) and I seen the flag everywhere and couldn't understand how they didn't associate it with slavery and everything the south stood for. Is it about being a rebel for them, if so I am an anarchist and I don't need a flag to be a rebel. It just shows me again and again that we are a divided country (not united). I was raised in Decatur, Illinois and have never met too many racist people here, I had to move to the south to meet them, but they always justify it with stupidity: "Blacks are lazy and don't want to work" or stupid **** like that, well I'm white and I've met just as many white lazy peices of crap as I have any other race. When it comes down to it we should take each indvidual person as they are not what color they are.

From experience they do not remove the criminal background of a minor... and in fact a judge can look at the criminal background of you when you when you were a minor, but they can not use it against you when you are an adult. It can bias their opinion though. Being labeled a sex offender is the worst thing that you can be labeled and it would not be good for this girl.

Come on... You can't make a mistake a KID made last their whole life. I know when I was in high school I was doing all kinds of stuff, I had girls in the locker room and bathrooms doing a whole lot more than just looking at their pictures. Kids have sex wether people like it or not and it wasnt an adult showing pics to a kid, it was a kid with other kids.
