If I know the truth, what else matters?

I'm a pretty outspoken person, and the people I chose as friends and associates know who I am, they know what I am about, and WHEN people try to slander me or trash talk me...which happens alot to people who are outspoken like myself. Those people who are loyal to me and I am loyal back, know better, so no arguement is needed.

Those who change their mind about me based on what others have said, I don't want as friends anyway.

With that attitude you will be arguing with almost every person you encounter for your entire life. No wonder you're so grumpy. You must be exhausted!

Then one last question that you can answer if you wish or keep to yourself.

Would your God be happy to see you attack people who also believe in him simply because they don't believe in the same manner that you do?

Yes, but something my mother said, and a book that was written a gazillion years ago are 2 different things. I'm not doubting the bible, or it's words, but the connotations of words change over time. So if someone wants to say Murder or Kill... who cares? We have no or little idea of what those words meant then and the connotations that they once held.

If I say that I am the embodyment of the Goddess, do I believe that the Goddess lives in me and "posses" me...No I mean that I try to live my life everyday to honor her. That although I am human I try to live a good clean life, and do good things for myself and for others...but the words technically mean "She lives in me"

All I am saying is, to enterprit a book written by God, threw man is a bit hard since we did not live in that time. So to allow for slack in the enterpritation should be allowable.

I did not quote - thou shalt not kill. The quotes are in quotation marks, tyvm. I used a commonly known saying instead of a direct quote for the sake of recognition. If this is your big issue with me then I'm really at a loss here.

It was a petty attempt at an insult, which is what most people on this forums resort to when you try to debate something with them. They are insulted by the fact that you do not carry the same opinion, so they insult back. You can believe in all the et life you want, as well as animals with immortal souls all you want. I do not knock you for your opinion, yet you resort to insults, in whatever fashion you see appropriate. This is not being blunt, it is being disrespectful, most of all to yourself. It does not serve to drive home your point, but rather minimize it.

Is this another case of "Don't post here, unless you agree with me?" Why can't someone share their opinion about it without someone getting pissed off? the laws were bestowed upon man, not upon god by god. Now I am breaking my own rule. Animals are here to serve man, not the other way around. While there are scriptures to point to god making animals available to us in heaven, it is not due to them having an immortal soul. God would not have given the servant of man an immortal soul for us to use as dining material.

The eternal soul was a gift bestowed upon man when God made us in his image. Animals were NOT made in the image of God or given the gift of eternal life.

Genesis 1:27
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

God lays out the menu (I’ve avoided individual entrees here, as it’s quite lengthy) instructing mankind in their own survival.

Leviticus 11:2
"Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth."

I find it hard to believe that God would instruct us to use other eternal souls as a food source, when he clearly protects the everlasting spirit in his commandment – Thou shalt not kill. That would be cannibalism of the soul.

If that’s not enough to explain why someone following the word of the Bible does not believe that animals have souls nor ascend to heaven with us, then this one should illuminate things nicely.

Ecclesiastes 3:21

I love my pets like nobody's business, but for me the cold hard fact is, I will see none of them in heaven...if I can even manage a reservation for myself.
