That is a very interesting point but here is something to think about....what is God's law for? To set the Israelites apart but also so they could have a long and prosperous life, that includes us now. In the old testament obedience, the law, sacrifices, and faith in God was how they got to heaven but now it is faith in the Son (The Lamb). Remember that faith without works is impossible. Jesus came to fulfill the law not abolish it. It is not by the law that we are saved but it is how we will be able to have all the blessings and abundance that God has for us. Having tattoos is not going to keep us from going to heaven but we could be a stumbling block. Psalm 139 is about how God made us perfectly. If you were to put Graffiti all over the Sistine Chapel how awful would that be? God's creation of man is His greatest creation and yet we mark it up and alter it. How it must grieve Him. The foods of the pagans also cause disease and it is epidemic in this country especially but now around the world too. Now we are tired, sick and busy, often times too busy and tired for God and His work. The blessings we miss out on....we are all a work in progress and what one person is convicted of is what the Holy Spirit is dealing with in that person at that time. He will deal with all of us and our issues one at a time. The Holy Spirit reveals the truth and when you are ready for it He will begin to change you. But don't knock God's word because it is true, good and right always, even if we don't understand why. Just pray about it and continue to read His word. "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find." :)
